He's smart. Has some unique perspectives and insights. He's full of shit sometimes and has wild thoughts for shock value. Sometimes that bothers me. Sometimes the shock value is funny, however. Sometimes he over does his bits. He's different than everybody else doing sports talk. While he acts like sports is beneath him it's not. He just has a hard time admitting that he likes sports. He thinks he should have better interests. He knows all important sports quite well (baseball, football & basketball). He's not right all the time but he's right more often than most people doing sports radio.

I don't blame Bernstein. I joke about the cult stuff. Everybody who act like him does it on their own. It's like making copies from a copy machine. The copies are never as good as the original. Plus, you can't pull off being Bernstein unless you are very smart. Those who imitate him aren't as smart as him so they can't pull it off. Bernstein is very good at rationalizing his thoughts in a clear and concise manner. It's quite a skill he has. Others don't have that skill.

Yes but would you agree or disagree that he (in a way) coerces the people around him to act like him. If you don't think like him or agree with him he has the intelligence or "skill" to make you look stupid or like an asshole.

This only bothers me when he's wrong and he does it. Yes, it is frustrating to listen to that. Sometimes you can tell he knows he might be wrong cuz he gets meaner in the argument. That's his guard. To get mean. He thinks you'll back down and he's usually right. Callers back down and so does the rest of "Team Bernstein" when he gets this way.

Right. So has Team Bernstein been conditioned to be like him? When he is right he is mean, when he is wrong he is meaner. There is no benefit for them to not be part of Team Bernstein.

During the B&B show? Absolutley no benefit to fight him and not be a part of the "Team" because his current team doesn't have the skill to fight him. Plus, he has the power. It's his show. But they don't have to go out of their way to help Bernstein pile on listeners either. They don't all have to jump on the air and talk about how stupid the caller was after Bernstein got done bashing the caller. They don't all have to engage in "Groupthink" to feed Bernsie's ego. When he gets on an issue and is fighting with people, "Team Bernstein" helps him in the fight. They can just let Bernsie do it. It's not like he asks for their help.

I'm more critical of everybody taking his style, his bits, the B&B language and repeating his thoughts when they get a chance to do their own shows.

Once a conditioned behavior has been established it's tough to break.
