Here's some news Mac will really like. Last week, Mac made no secret of his likeness of former Baltimore Ravens' head coach turned FOX Sports & NFL Network analyst Brian Billick and had the Super Bowl winning coach on the show. Folks, Mac's newest buddy and Thom Brennaman have been assigned by Ed Goren, David Hill & FOX Sports to work Sunday's Bears' home game vs. the Lions, according to awfulannouncing.com. You think Billick will drop dime on the show before Sunday's kickoff on the lakefront?

I remember when Thom Brennaman first started working for FOX Sports, he was also working as the Cubs' primary radio voice on WGN 720. I also remember WGN Radio bosses wouldn't allow Thom back when he first got started calling NFL/FOX games to work games involving the Bears...That was around 1994 when FOX started broadcasting the NFC package.

The one thing I omitted is whether there will be a Charissa Thompson sighting, let alone former "SportsChannel Report" anchor/reporter Laura Okmin, on the sidelines on the NFL/FOX Sports broadcast of Sunday's Bears' beatdown of the Lions. Charissa will be on the sidelines Saturday in East Lansing on the FOX-owned Big Ten Network as Wayne Larrivee & Chris Martin provide the call of the Big Ten grudge match between Michigan & Michigan State.
