I'm not able to listen more than on my train ride into work each morning, but I heard a few things that stuck with me....
1) The question was asked by Annie - "How many times this season have the Tigers lost back2back games this season ?" - and the answer given was twice, currently vs. the Twins, and earlier this season vs the Devil Rays.
Did they forget the White Sox sweeping the Tigers earlier this season ? How about 2 straight in Chicago in June ?
I wouldn't be too picky about this nomrally, but how could you forget the White Sox doing that ? It's not like they're the focus of the show each morning or anything....BTW, I actually checked Detroit's schedule, and they weren't even close on this...Who in the hell does their research ? They've got 3 people behind the glass (why do you need 3 people BTW ??? What do they actually do, seriously ???), and I'm counting 9 times the Tigers have lost B2B, not 2!!!!!
April 9, 10, 12, 13:
Lost 4 straight, to Texas once, and the White Sox 3 times
April 17, 18:
Lost once to Cleveland and Oakland
May 6, 7:
Lost B2B to Minnesota
May 28, 29, 30, 31:
Lost once to Cleveland, and 3 to NYY
June 6, 7:
Lost B2B to White Sox
July 3, 4:
Lost B2B to Oakland
July 16, 18th
Lost to KC and White Sox
July 30, 31:
Lost to Minnesota and TB
August 8, 9:
Lost B2B to Minnesota
2) During a conversation with Barry Rozner, it was mentioned that Michael Haynes could be on his way to the Broncos, and it was asked out loud with no answer given, "Why would Denver want Haynes for ?"
Well, I can't answer specifically of why they would want Haynes, but the Broncos 2 years ago acquired the Cleveland Browns defensive line, which consisted of high 1st round picks who didn't play well for the Browns.
This wasn't even brought up....Maybe the Broncos feel that they can get more out of former 1st round picks who haven't played well right out of college ???? I don't know, maybe I'm requiring some critical thought here...
