I love the Tribune trying to get a scoop out quickly didn't review the background on the story and crucified the U of Illinois' Eddie Johnson. They had a half page apology and here is the goodness he's done today.

Yes, they reported that the Eddie Johnson arrested was the former Illinois star even though the article had right in there former Auburn star.

That is unacceptable. Even with the retraction you cannot do that to a man. I think the Trib will be paying out on that one.

Wow. Yeah Ilini EJ can sue the trib for a big amount of money for that one. There is simply no excuse for that. Alot of people probrally didn't read the retraction. That's at least a 5 million dollar suite if you ask me.

for those who read the article in the trib, did they actually identify the illinois EJ as the sicko, or did they just not make the important distinction?
