Yeah, not that the Lakers game won't still be interesting even minus Griffin but I am interested in that game too. Want to see how Miller is going to mesh with them.

Arenas looks pretty good right now. Haywood too, actually, even though it's only the end of the 1st quarter

Last spring's injury might have been the beginning of the end for the KG we all know. He has all the heart in the world but I don't know if he's the same guy anymore.

I have absolutely no hope for my Rockets this year. I'm finding it very hard to get excited about opening night. Coming off a terrible baseball season, and in the midst of another mediocre football season, it is VERY depressing to be a Houston Homer right now. :(

i think the spurs are the best team in the league if healthy but i agree with marion. Could have a resurgence. That'll be a fun team and them/hornets are the local teams so i'll see alot of them

no way. The essence of being a sports fan is connecting with a team and getting beyond the rooting for laundry point. The rockets have one of the most likable teams in the league. They are unselfish, play hard every night, and epitomize the sum is greater than all the parts phrase. Who lover basketball that doesn't love battier? Besides kobe.

Wiz up by 10 at Dallas just about 2:00 until halftime. Arenas has 13 and 4 assists on 4-9 shooting, not bad. Wiz actually are looking good here. Foye had a few nice plays. to be honest i really haven't seen marion do much of anything (although to be fair i am switching back and forth)

Ok, ok, I heart Battier. And of course I will follow, support, and cheer for the Rockets...but I've been a Houston sports fan for over 30 years....I don't know how to be anything BUT hopeless!

Arenas. I forgot all about that guy. Bernstein once referred to him as the highest-paid blogger in the U.S. I can't see the game since I don't have the ticket, but how's Javale McGhee looking?

Me too. I like Lebron but I don't like his team.

BTW, Garnett hurt his right knee last year.

Thanks, Kid. Now that the game is over, did you notice he had some visible problems with knee? If so, that's kind of a bid deal.

Oh and FF, Blazers game is closing in on the end of the 1st quarter and I thought for the most part Oden looked pretty good. Very active. Had one block and one near block (goaltend), a really nice pass off a double team to Miller for a layup and a few pretty nice rebounds. He turned it over a few times though, but I liked the energy and poise

Just read this thread. DB vs SHARK was awesome.

Count me in for a BBall viewing outing.

SHARK still can't admit that he was wrong about saying that we're going to miss the Vikes-Pack game.

i love how kaman is playing. Very aggressive, shades of a few years ago. Baron looks like he wants it too. This will be a good fun team
