Met John today at his mothers wake. He is a lot taller and thinner than I pictured. I'm acquaintances with John's brother and that is why I was there. Very nice guy - did not know exactly what to say to him ya know. Sorry for your loss, by the way I'm a huge fan - I don't know. Simply sorry for you loss and he thanked me. Pretty cool though - over heard a conversation he was having with someone else saying he is in the middle of filming a movie called Cedar Rapids. Lip5slice I thought would find that cool.

Doing a SHAKE N' WAKE fist bump probably would have been inappropriate I suppose.

Ran into John again yesterday at a retirement party for about 10 CFD people. His brother was one of the firefighters retiring. It was crazy that there was a ton of grown ass men following him around all over Bourbon Street...sort of pathetic.

He's one of the best character actors going today (along with Chris Cooper). He was great in Boogie Nights. Come to think of it, he was the lead in Walking Tall, so maybe he's surpassed character actor status. It was a pleasant surprise to see he has the comedy acting chops too. Step Brothers was fucking hillarious. Talledaga Nights, not so much, with the exception of the Jesus dinner scene.

Never have seen it. Since I'm not married, I had nobody feeling compelled to drag me to it. If I was though, the tradeoff better be a knob job.

if you hate musicals you won't like "chicago"; but it is one of my favorites. bob fosse wasn't like the other dancer/directors out there. he was more into dark satire and noir type of stuff.

"chicago" is kind of a twisted story. but it's pretty awesome. girl i was with at the time, though, drove the soundtrack into the ground because she listened to it *all* the time.
