what do you guys feel are the aspects of his game that make him better than Johnson? just curious. they're both essentially scorers. Do you feel Durant is just a better overall scorer? or do you feel other aspects of Durant's game make him better

durant's size gives him versatility that joe cant match. He's better on the block and baseline. He's a better rebounder because of that too. Basically he's equal to joe as a guard but he also isn't limited to just doing sg work. Because joe is asked to be a primary distributor for his team and durant isn't, i'll give him the benefit of saying he's better at that but i think durant could do that as well if they didn't have a westbrook on their team

Comparison so far this year:
Johnson: 23.6PPG, 5.3RPB, 4.7APG, 2.58TO, .464FG, .345 3PT
Durant: 27.1PPG, 7.1RPG, 2.5APG, 3.17TO, .441FG, .213 3PT

Durant has is a few inches on Joe, I'll give you that. But I can't believe you think he's that much better on the block or baseline...Johnson killed Ray Allen in the playoffs basically just posting him up all day. Yes I know Allen isn't a defensive stalwart, but Johnson routinely posts up and his game is versatile enough that he can do that, drive to the basket and draw fouls- and finish- and can also create for himself (or others). He's much stronger than Durant. Despite handling the ball alot as you said, he's averaging fewer turnovers than Durant. He's also a better pure shooter and a much better 3 point shooter.

He did have a hygiene problem though. I think he had to be told or urged, depending on who you believe, that you take showers after the game. Even with that knowledge I don't think Bernstein would label him as the most likely to smell player ala Okur.
