just to clarify i think joe is a really good player and is one of them stats dont tell the whole story guys. I just love durant and think he's gonna have the league by the balls in a few years. Remember he just started his 3rd year

i know he's not shooting well but i like collison's game. I see similarities between him and george hill. Nice to see the hornets playing hard, haven't seen it this year.

salmons is not gonna be an answer at 2. Bulls look like they are conceding this. I hope rose's ankle is to blame for his play so far this year.

there's something pretty funny about an old white guy mistakenly referring to ray allen's movie as he's got game

Either the Suns have the best training staff in American sports, or there's something in the water in Phoenix.

It is colds & flu season, and like a lot of people, I think even the exciteable Kevin Harlan can lose his voice. Hopefully he gets it back by Sunday, because Kevin's back on NFL/CBS Sports' duty in Oakland, scheduled to call the Bengals/Raiders' game on a regional level w/Solomon Wilcots.

After just recently seeing Earl Boykins back in the league, I turn on ESPN tonight and there is Ricky Davis in the starting lineup for the Clip show. What is going on with rosters this year?

collison with cp numbers in a big win last night over bagels' boys. I smell a pg controversy in the near future

Okay, NBA TV replayed the Jennings 55 point game against G-State this morning. I'll be damned if that guy isn't an offensive sight to behold. He looked like Isiah Thomas carrying the Pistons against Bernard King's Knicks in '85. I know a special player when I see it, and he is it.

I'm tellin you Farvio, Jennings has a "fast-twitch" element to his game that some players never have. There's definitely something there.

Now there are some aspects of his game that I don't care for as well:

1). He likes to isolate and do these "And1" dribbling routines in lieu of actually running a set, often resulting in uneccessary turnovers.

2). Not a polished defender. He sometimes has trouble keeping his man in front of him.

3). Sometimes tries to beat doubleteams rather than finding an open man. That's a no-no.

However, Skiles can run the penetrate/kick out stuff all day long with him because every time he gets the ball the defense has no choice but to collapse on him. You can't play him close because he'll blow right by you. You can't step back on him because he'll shoot that beautiful lefty jumper on you.

Oh I agree with you on him overall. I think he's a fascinating player and easily one of the best young PG's in the league already. But even given my reputation around here, cant fathom a comparison to the best pure PG ever yet. What about Tiny Archibald?

Jennings will have a good test tonight going up against Tony Parker, see how he handles the very quick veteran.

Watched a fair portion of the Warriors win over the Mavs last night

Observations about the Warriors

-It amazes me how this philosophy they seem to have spreads across years and years of teams. No matter what year it is, you can pretty much count on the team to be running and gunning. Just is funny to me. Of course teams adapt to the personnel they have but could you ever see the W's having a slow-it-down half-court offense kind of team?

-the fact that they just don't give a shit- i mean completely- is dangerous. It's going to result in some bad losses and of course they aren't going to go anywhere this season but it's dangerous to the better teams like Dallas saw. Things like Stephen Curry pulling up for a 3 early in the shot clock with under 2:00 to go in the game. Totally reckless but last night he hit the shot.

-From what I've seen so far I like Curry. He seems like he could really complement Ellis. Very nice stroke, nice jumper. Had a little trouble finishing when he got to the rim though

-monta ellis seems to get to the rim at will. yes I know this was Dallas but every game I've seen so far he's been unstoppable.

-what's the deal with A. Morrow? I need to watch more of this cat. Crazy skills.

-I think Don Nelson has gone insane. I'm serious. I really think he's given up completely.

Don Nelson is just hanging around to get the wins recrod. He was only 23 wins behind at the start of the season. If he passes Lenny Wilkins this year, he is done.
