As I see it, Vito and Nick's has the best thin crust pizza in town. Sausage/pepperoni pie with a chilled, frosty Old Style on tap does it for me.

You had me interested until your professed love of the Old Stool.
How am I supposed to trust your word on pizza, when you are so clueless on beer? You must have a titanium anus.

That's the thing; I'm with you on that. I've hated Old Style ever since my gramps would give me "shots" of it while I was a little kid.

Old Stool does suck, but at Vito and Nick's, it, surprisingly, tastes good. Or maybe it's Hamm's???

Salerno's, in Oak Park on Roosevelt Rd & Harlem Ave. across the street from Macdonalds...2 blocks from where I grew up. This Pizza is loaded with cheese and Sausage. Trust me on this, try this Pizza once and you will never want Pizza from anywhere else. When I was a kid they has a joint on 16th in Berwyn...and this Pizza is the same great Pizza.

Going to Piece tomorrow for Father's Day... anyone been before? We're going at 1:30, so hoping for the lunchtime crowd to be gone and before the drunks show up.

Pizza at Piece was pretty good but was much more impressed by the beer -- had one of their golden ales and a IPA and they were both really impressive.

The best Pizza in the world is in my old neighborhood, at Salerrnos in Oak Park on Roosevelt Rd 1 block East of Harlem.
This is the same Salernos that used to be in Berwyn on either 16th or 22nd st.
There is more cheese & sausage on Salernos Pizza than any other. It's great.
Every time I visit my Mother I order a 'Za from here.
Try it, you'll love it.

I know of what you speak. I was eyeing it as I sat across the street eating breakfast a while back. When it was Santo's,the pizza sucked. Thin like a credit card. It looks much better pictured on the menu now.

I saw Vito and Nick's on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives yesterday. Looked good, except for the egg pizza.

Where is it located?

There are sevral locations, mostly on the south side and SW suburbs. I've been to the one in Lemont and had their carry-out location in Plainfield. I believe there are two different "versions" of Vito & Nick's due to a family dispute (money makes people do bad things), but they're the same recipes. Similar to the problems with the Bobak's sausage family.

Similar to the issues in the Salerno family operating joints in the city on Grand near Racine and in Berwyn.

I've never been to the Salernos on Grand near Racine, but the Pizza at Salernos on Roosevelt Rd in Berwyn is the exact same as it was in their original place on 16th in Berwyn years ago.

86th and Pulaski.

Used to order from there once or twice a month, poor service from them stopped that very quickly.

D'agostinos taking over my new top spot for thin.

La Gondola, having a drop off due to popularity, sausage no longer fresh ground, using cased and sliced, not looking good, delivery now sucks, just too busy.

Frank, Did you ever order from Chesdan's on Archer? They've since moved.

There is a Salerno's in Vernon Hills now. 8)

I went there a couple of months ago. It was good pizza but that location is impossible to get to.

Little Scicily on Ogden in Naperville is absolutely fantastic. Their sauce is a little sweet, however, so it might turn off a few of you old-timers.

It's been years, but I used to love Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinders on Clark.

Not a huge fan of Pizza, but that pizza pot pie they have was pretty awesome...

So I ordered some Aurelios for the game yesterday as I had some friends over and I remembered the last time I had Aureliios it was pretty good. Well...yeah...that shit fucking sucks!! Worst pizza I have ever had, so fucking thin and no sauce at all, I don't remember it ever being like that.

From now on it's Beggers, fuck trying out new shit

How is Lou's leading this? Much different in restaurant, but still lacking. Back in the early 90's, we had a Nacy's butter crust in the Niles/Park Ridge area, that was good pizza.
