not sure why this has never been written by any of the 'inside" beat guys for the Bulls, but here it is.

The new President of the Chicago Bulls should be Mike Reinsdorf. Chairman Jerry has admitted that the Bulls are not his passion and thus the need to have Paxson as the President of the team. To handle all the things an owner should do.

It is time then to have an owner that does care, because an owner that really did care, would have replaced Vinny by now, or the search would be so active someone would have some info on this.

Mike tries to keep somewhat of a low profile, but if you read the Bulls media guide he is the alternative Governor and attends all the league meetings. He has owned and owns minor league teams. He is a huge basketball fan and understands the game, NBA people and facility management.

It's not like Jerry is going to fold up his office and go away, he is going to really oversee some of these major items, just as he does with Paxson, but I think Mike will be much more decisive than Paxson and allow Gar foreman to be a real GM if he is qualified to do so.

It is a structure that needs to be put in place now, in order to not waste D Rose and his future.

Could I possibly do any worse than the front office runs of M-Jeff?

I'm with you Maurice. It's only former Bulls guards that struggle in the front office. (Jordan, Paxson, Kerr)

I like your abgle Big Fan. I hate Pax's indecisiveness. We need someone with some balls to run this organization, not Passive Pax.

What would you do if there were 1.8 seconds left before the trade deadline?

Seems that everyone in this organization has training wheels on, might as well let the kid develop as an owner.

I thought another member of the Bulls' Board, Irwin Mandel, also attends NBA-related meetings and handles the business end of the operation. Then again, the Mike Reinsdorf idea isn't that farfetched... I always jokingly refer to Jerry Reinsdorf as Uncle Jerry, but he's not getting any younger. If I'm not mistaken, Jerry's approaching 70 years old. It's safe to say that even though he has 6 NBA Championships dating back to when he bought the team in 1985, Jerry seems to be more interested in his other team, the White Sox. This while his Sox have only 1 World Series title in the nearly 3 decades he's owned the Southsiders. I'd be all for a changing of the guard up top, especially with the Vinny Del Negro hiring becoming more and more disasterous by the day.
