It looks like the Braves may non-tender Kelly Johnson and there have been reports in the past of Kenny's interest in him. Kenny also said there will be some 'interesting players non-tendered' so you know he's looking for someone. Could Johnson be a fit for the Sox in left field? He was originally a left fielder but the Braves moved him to 2B in '07. He had a very good '07 (.276/.375/.457) and '08 (.287/.349/.446) but had an injury plagued '09 which led to an awful season (.224/.303/.389). Johnson was moved all around the batting order including leadoff. If he could bounce back to his '07-'08 form (he's only 27 yrs old) he could be a nice, cheap addition to the Sox.

I hope Kenny gives his agent a call.

Would like this more if they hadn't already signed Mark Teahen. The only advantage is that KJ was forced to the Braves' bench last season, so he doesn't have a solid argument for starting.

Sign Johnson, trade/release Kotsay? That's the only way I see this working.
