Clearly, I feel there are more pieces in place offensively than defensively. I think we are solid at the skill positions if we can just add some depth at RB (a change of pace to split carries like Steve Slaton, etc.), some depth at QB (if Hanie takes over, adios to another season), a true #1 WR if one can be found, and at least two more pieces on the OL, preferrably at OG and OT since Beekman can move inside to play Center if and when Kruetz is done.

that's a pretty good list, being realistic. i'm not sure what urlacher is costing now, but suppose you could cut his ass and sign a pro-bowl type player for the same money...i'd do that in a heartbeat.

Hester and Knox are the same. I'd try to move one of them if I could. I'm done with Olsen.

Gaines Adams sucks. I'm not sure about Pino and Url and the secondary blows. They can't really fix it this year either. They are screwed at defense for the next few years unless these guys develop into something wonderful.

I'd like to see them get Jahri Evans or maybe Logan Mankins. I'm almost ready to admit they need a # one WR, but none of the ones out there really thrill me. I want a young guy too, no TOs derrick Masons or Mushins.

The DTs out there are a little old. I like some of the DEs like Johnny Jolly, Ray Edwards or maybe even a Marcus spears. I think a better coaching staff could develop Mark Anderson into something a better than he is. Maybe not great but solid.

I don't really like any of the CBs and there are a couple of Safties out there but this all hinges on the CBA agreement. I don't know the rules or what the lists look like if no agreement is reached.

I wouldn't mind seeing Braylon Edwards in a Bears uni. I think Marshall is a restricted free agent next year, no? If I had to pick one, Marshall would be the guy I would go after.
