Yes, I would have a hatttttttt

but as only a guy who buys a few games now and no longer on the season ticket roster I would be more pissed about this team than the Cubs or Bears

Meh, im not very upset about this season. It's all about 2010.

As long as Vinny is gone now or after the season and a competent coach is brought in, and we sign 1-2 big name guys, then I won't be upset. At the start of the year this season meant nothing, and it still means nothing.

Now if for some reason the Bulls keep Vinny and fail to sign anybody, I will be extremely pissed. But now I am just enjoying the fun-badness.

There are so many top tier guys out there, and the Bulls are probably in the best position cap-wise compared to every team in the league to make a big splash. If they come away empty handed, it would be a complete travesty.

This is not the same as the Duncan/McGrady year. The nucleus the Bulls have right now is much better than the shit sandwich they were rolling out in 1999-2000. Rose/Deng/Noah are championship contenders compared to Randy Brown/Dickey Simpkins/Corey Benjamin.

true, but i'd put the likelihood of LeBron coming at like .5%

bosh, wade, etc. maybe 20%

I could see them getting someone like joe johnson, but then again is he willing to leave a pretty nice situation in ATL? i'm just afraid that they'll get shutout on a top tier FA then end up wildly overpaying a 2nd tier FA just to save face

Also, I have a theory that many players were blackballing Jerry Krause back then due to the way he dismantled a dynasty. If Jordan/Pippen/Jackson wanted to make Krause look bad, im sure they could have phoned anybody and asked them not to play for him. We all know Jordan was that petty, and Im sure some guys would listen to his advice back then. Plus Tim Floyd was a complete boob.

Cmon Bagels. Big City + Bulls situation + More money > situation in Atlanta

I'd consider Joe Johnson top tier any other year, but for 2010 he would be 2nd tier. I agree, I'd be happy as hell to get him.

And at this point I'm not even sure I'd even want Wade. I mean of course I'd want him on the team but for a max deal for a lot of years..not sure...has the makings of Iverson- i.e. beat up body, wear & tear...he's constantly playing hurt. And for that matter sure I'd take Bosh too but he hasn't exactly led his team to a lot of success...and while they're playing shitty they've got talent- hedo, calderon, bargnani, etc.

You would take anyone on the hawks. I think you have some sort of weird Hawks fetish. Do you have pictures of Zaza Pachulia hanging above your bed?

To a point I can agree with DB, but if this thing gets much worse it will become an issue when getting free agents.

If Rose is not known in the league as a Star the player they do get here will be here for nothing more than the money and in 2 years will want to be out of here.

The Bulls cant just get a top tier guy they need a BEST PLAYER ON THE TEAM type of guy, not one that was made better by the other players.

This has all the potential to be a disaster.

And the Bulls dont have MORE than other teams to spend. They can offer MAX, just like 6 other teams. They can then offer another $9 M or so after that.
