Rock's been on the air quite a bit this morning...got into a pretty good argument with North about Frank Thomas in the 7:00 am hour.

Here's the skinny on the whole Buch situation. Steve is leaving on his own terms. He had a two year deal which does run up on the 13th (Wednesday), but he has chosen to go into other opportunities. Of which, I do not know, but Steve was the most organized person I have ever met and ran our show like clock work....honestly, he will be missed around the station.

Now.....as for the producer role on the show, no one has said anything and I have yet to hear anything on any kind of "replacement" for Buch. It's surprising to me to find out that the Score has not informed anyone including Mike about who will replace Buch. I'm sure within the next couple of weeks, we'll find out something...but in the meantime Jen will step in like she has done in the past when Buch was gone. That's all I know whether you want to believe it or not.

Speculation on anything with this issue is nothing more than that.....the word will come down when the word comes down.

As for BF's ?....

We let people on the air when they're sober, make sense, and fit the topic at hand. You'd be surprised how many morons call in still hungover and/or drunk from the night before at 8am. But if they fit the criteria listed above, we put em up, if they get on the air or not is not our job.

As for Bearboy's ?...

A raise? I've been at the score pt/ft now for 4 years....and with the budget cuts we're experiencing (sp?)......nope.

The Score is constantly advertising that they are the most listened to sports station in Chicago - why the budget cuts ?

It doesn't stop the score from putting that human POS North on the air in the same condition.

That sucks for you Rock. Jen was in charge when Buch was gone so that probrally means she's first in line if they stay in house. I think Pappy's pull at the station is dwindling based on his poor performance and Mitch is counting the days when Pappy's contract comes off the books and they can launch him. I'm sure you realize he's the reason for the budget cuts and the fact that you can't get a raise Rock.

Huge contract + terrible performance = The Score cutting back in other areas to compensate.

Maybe if you grow boobs, get a blond wig, and act like a bimbo Pappy will taut you for the gig.

This is probably the most informative and least suckling of Mikey's tit post that Rock has ever had. Nice job.

Ouch, Rock. I know you may really love your work, but if you don't start to stand up for yourself in the workplace, you are going to be stuck in that position forever. Buchman was an experienced producer with a strong track record, so it was logical being second to him. Jen? That is an insult to you, even if it is on an interim basis. The time to take advantage of your position is when the station needs you, and it needs you now. I would make a demand and be prepared to walk as you are in a no lose situation.

I appreciate you posting here, so I am not trying to be a jag with this post.
