No it wouldn't have. I guess you didnt see the games between the Packers and Vikings this year. Their O Line looked like the best Line in history. Sage could have picked them apart with that type of production. It's not hard to imagine Sage or Tarvaris could have won both those games. The 49ers and Ravens games they may have lost. They may not have though. You're smart enough to realize that if you chance the QB's, everything would change. The butterfly effect. It's very unlikely if they played that 49ers game over it would have played out exactly the same, needing a miracle throw to win the game. So yeah, I think Minnesota led by Sage or Jackson is capable of beating the 49ers. They would be 10-6 this year without Favre.

The John Kirk rule is that I say enough crazy-enough shit that I have to argue against that I don't feel like arguing on behalf of things I never said or shooting down allegations that I said them. So if I feel that I never said that, I want an actual quote, so when I say "Devin Hester is an NFL receiver" it isn't turned into "Irish Boy thinks Devin Hester is an all-pro wide receiver". It's tiresome to have to reiterate your position over and over again, so by simply writing "John Kirk rule", I save myself and everyone else the time. You can just assume that I never said whatever was claimed, unless there's a quote to the contrary.

On two separate occasions IB posted a message stating that he would prefer Lovie Smith as a head coach over Gruden, Shanahan, Billick or Holmgren. IB also posted a few times about the Bears WR's defending their play & stats. When I recently posted a message laughing at the stupidity of IB's comments, rather than admitting that he made these comments, he responded with the JK rule.
I didn't make these things up folks & a few of you who PM'd me remember the comments.

If you're going to make comments. at least have the conviction to stand behind them, or have the balls to admit you were wrong.

As for the coaches thing, all I've said is that I don't want any of those coaches. I'd still rather have Lovie than Billick or Holmgren. You all will too within six weeks. I'm completely agnostic as to Lovie vs Shanahan or Gruden. I don't like either of those coaches. And I've been completely consistent in saying that I don't think Lovie is a very good coach, and I've provided a list of coaches I'd rather have, including former head coaches and first time coaches. So untwist your panties.

Gruden certainly has a long history of developing young quarterbacks.

As I've already said, I've provided a list of coaches I'd rather have at this point. Cowher, Schottenheimer, Harbaugh, even Ryan in Cleveland. That list is certainly non-exhaustive. Why are you so enamored with the discarded trash of other NFL organizations?

Since when did ESPN's Mike Tirico sport a baseball cap? I realize it was cold, but on a couple of occasions when cameras panned on Tirico, Ron Jaworski & Jon Gruden, I noticed Mike sporting a black baseball cap in the booth... I remember times when Chicago's own Brent Musburger sported a hat when he was broadcasting from cold weather sites over the years at CBS Sports, ABC Sports & ESPN, but nothing like the black cap Tirico wore.

Also, due to contractual obligations with WBBM Newsradio 780 and the Bears' Radio Network, we couldn't hear the Westwood One call of the game with Kevin Harlan & Boomer Esiason here in Chicago. I'd be very curious to hear how Kevin called Jay Cutler's 4th TD, the 39-yard game winner to Devin Aromashodu in OT to win it, compared to how WBBM's Jeff Joniak called it locally. Also, I wonder if Boomer, Westwood One's #1 analyst, took back what he said about Jay's leadership and body language during a recent chat with Mac & Spiegs on 670 The SCORE & 670thescore.com about a month ago.

Yep. He did more than OK. Shanny was the OC when Young won his SB in 1994. That was one of the greatest offenses ever. Then he went on to win 2 with the Broncos.

And what is the constant in both of those? He had HOF players, it is easy to look like a genius when you have Young, Rice, Elway & Davis. Since his HOF players retired, he has done nothing.
