WINDY CITY SIGHTS: Score radio personality Mike North celebrated his birthday with friends and colleagues over lunch at Gibsons on Rush over the weekend. Score's Fred Huebner, Jesse Rogers and Jen Patterson, Channel 5 anchor Anna Davlantes, Channel 2 reporter Mai Martinez and Mike's good pal Fritzy Konstantelos were at the table. Mike and his ever-lovin' sweet wife, Be-Be, enjoyed a cozy dinner together at Gibsons in Rosemont.

North will be the first-ever radio personality to be inducted into the Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame at a dinner this Thursday at Hawthorne Race Course. Be-Be's gift to hubby is a 20-minute video montage of his 15-year radio career with Score.

--I'll bet as Pappy is giving his induction speech Mitch will be getting the latest trends that Pappy's show has fallen another point.

--I'll bet the very moment Pappy cashes his check that week Mitch will be typing a memo announcing more budget cuts at the Score.

Sure Jessie makes some mistakes on the air and fumbles a few words and sometimes he is even kind of what we in the business would call a "Little shithead" but the guy is a very good producer

Great move by North if it is true. Jesse will get him back in a sports minded direction and he gets good guests.

I agree that this would be a tremendous move for the station. While Jesse's impact on North's show will be minimal, his return to producing will most likely mean far less on-air time for him. Even if Mitch goes with dead air instead of Jesse, the improvement in overall entertainment and intelligence will be exponential.

Who's saying it's good?

I hope the "tribute" includes the best of the Real Estate game and the Natalie Holloway bit. Classic stuff!
