All these other real estate development bidders? Professional sports teams owners and former owners? entertainment people? all placing value on the team. All very succesful people you have to assume they know what they are doing and the guy who bid the most was a guy whose daddy started an online stock brokerage company and has ZERO expeirience in anything related to running a baseball team.

Ever bought a house? had a budget to fix it up and within 3 days you are 100% past your budget because you didnt know that hardwood floors not only cost so much but now you need all new baseboards, doors need to be cut down and new thresholds everywhere.

I put pergo over my hardwood floor!

There was a reason, though. We had carpet put in over the hardwood originally. When I pulled it up a few years ago,it must have had 1000 staples in it. The floor was ruined. Pergo is the answer. My wife & I love it. It is durable and very nice looking.

I put hardwood floors on top of wall-to-wall carpet.

I should pull up the hardwood to see if there's carpet underneath. No. That's never the case.

Pergo looks like a cheap decal. I can spot it a mile away.

Pergo is no great deal. In fact it is a huge rip off and is priced only as an alternative to wood floors, has nothing to do with the price of making the shit.

I am picking up 1,200 SF of it at 9 AM for someone that didnt want to spend the money on the real 3/4 floor, which would have cost them $1800.00 more when it is all said and done.

Which brings me back to my original point. how much did they think it would cost to put in new floors.
