That would be a bad idea. I have a friend of a friend that played on the Tigers (button 48) when Trammel was managing and he said he's the worst manager he ever played for (he played on 10 different teams). He said Trammel's a really nice guy with great stories but a horrible manager.

Interesting, I have not heard that before. Always heard he was well respected etc...maybe because he's a nice guy :? Anyways, I'd prefer Brenly either way at the expense at breaking up an amazing TV booth.

No matter who they sign this year, the Cubs are not winning the World Series. I also have serious doubts about them even making the playoffs. No need for everyone to get worked up now, save it for the season.

He said the players walked all over him. Those were some terrible Tiger teams but the clubhouse was worse.

Brenly is the man and should be managing but I think Sandberg will be the cubs next manager.

Its all good Keyser. They've got a brand new ice rink up there, and Bradley is gone. Maybe bigfan is the only who cares about the 2010 season.

Just to be clear, I will never ever find any sort of satisfaction from a GM "trying" to improve the team. This isn't bumble bee soccer where you get an A for effort.

Of course not. But so far this offseason, Jim Hendry's big moves have been getting rid of (or attempting to fix) last off season's mistakes. And that seems to be ok with everyone because, as everybody has pointed out, this move hasn't worked or that signing hasn't worked. Seems to me there is a horseshit GM up there and bigfan is the only one who gives a damn about that.

Ding Ding Ding!!!! We have a winner!!!!

If Hendry can find some dipshit to take that fucking headcase Z and get some young talent in return, I'm all for it.

The window on this team has slammed shut, right on the hand of that fucking Jim Hendry.

I did too. Then I grew up. Fuck, I wish it wasn't this way. I want a World Series more than anything else, but I'm a realist. It's not going to happen with the "core" of this team. They had their shot, and failed. There needs to be MAJOR changes to the way this organization is run. Signing some piece of shit outfielder isn't the answer to the Cubs problems.
