Is that they've talked to Cowher who's told them he doesn't want to coach in 2010 and they decided that's who they want and are not going to hire someone for 1 year.
I think it's time to stop the B.S. concerning Bill Cowher and any of these other Super Bowl-winning coaches who we'd like to see coaching the Bears instead of Lovie Smith. They're going to command a lot of money and likely a lot of power to boot. I am eating humble pie for the whole Jay Cutler trade, but the Bears' organization as a whole doesn't pay big money for head coaches and have NEVER hired an experienced head coach in their franchise history. Anyone who thinks the McCaskeys are about to hire a head coach for $10 million or so a year is kidding themselves, regardless of the whole labor storm that's brewing between NFL Players & Owners come 2011. Whenever Lovie does get his walking papers once and for all, the Bears aren't about to change their ways. The McCaskeys aren't Jerry Jones in Dallas, Dan Snyder in Washington and Bob Kraft in New England for that matter. The next head coach of the Chicago Bears will come cheap.
