Even though he was hard to understand and sounded like he had something stuck in his throat, "Wild Bill" always gave the hosts, dating all the way back to Chet Coppock and "Coppock On Sports" back in the day, quite a laugh whenever he called in.

Well that stinks.

I found his calls to Roe Conn to be funnier pound-for-pound than when he would call the sports stations ... a man for all radio seasons.

I don't know when it happened, but Mike North had a call set up with a radio station from New York and Wild Bill was on the call for some reason. Wild Bill as I remember it was throwing out some great lines that had everyone in both booths rolling. Wild Bill was really funny when his speach was as fast as his mind worked.
