NL Central
St Louis 89-73
Cincinnati 82-80
Chicago 77-85
Houston 75-87
Milwaukee 75-87
Pittsburgh 70-92

Runs Scored 779
Runs Against 823

8 games under 500 and giving up 201 runs more? I just don't see it. Gregg and Heilman are addition by subtraction. Yes whoever replaces Harden probably won't be as good, but 201 runs is quite a bit

I'm seeing us around 81 wins. This team screams 500 to me right now

I'd flip the Cubs and Brewers W and L numbers.

I see the Cardinals team plane crashes after they play 122 games

I hate when Cubs fans have low expectations going into the season. It's much more fun crushing their hope in the heat of the summer.

With a healthy team: Cubs could win close to 90 games.
Another season with a gimpy ARam & Soriano=78-84

I think there is going to be a huge dropoff in the rotation. When you have a Marshall or Simardzija going from spot-starters and long men into full time starters, you are going to have trouble. Zambrano and Dempster need to have huge years, and anybody would be a fool to expect that to happen.

Cards replaced Pineiro with Penny, otherwise they are pretty much the same team. Reds should be improved, they have a lot of decent young pitching. Brewers might contend with the young sluggers they have.

I still don't see any of these teams overtaking the Cards.

I didn't even notice the Reds at 82 wins? Yikes. Where is that blowhard NSJ to tout that one?

I love Pecota projections and the reactions. It is an all computer based program that spits out a number and is based on expectations of increased or decreased production. Doesn't take into account Rich Hardens 6 weeks on the 'Not on the DL List"

Pecota had the Cubs winning the divsion last year by 9 games!

Pecota has the A's winning the AL west this year!

CINCI! Great pecota team! All Stats!

Think of how pissed Kenny gets when they tell you the Sox will win 77 games in the past!

No program takes less human element into account.

I agree people do take these a bit too seriously. Thought it'd be fun discussion to get warmed up for Spring Training.

Same, maybe that's why I"m really looking forward to this season. No expectations, hopefully limited heartbreak.
