Lady Gaga leading off and carrying the show as the supposed modern day Madonna, I presume? I don't get it.

Oh God...now Sir Elton's doing a piano duet with her. Good thing I rarely watch TV these days.

I'm watching it. I've never understood Lady Gaga. Yes, she wears food for clothes, but that's about it. And she's half-male, but that doesn't do it for me either.

Half-man is half more of a man than the person she's performing on the piano with, however.

I never watch the Grammys, but killing time tonight...
I liked the duet. She's very talented when she plays the piano and sings without being weird. IMO, of course.

Aside from Beyonce girating and bellowing on the stage, this whole presentation really does kinda blow. Moving along...

As much as she sucks, the performance by Pink was actually pretty cool.

Prior to 30 minutes ago, I had never, ever heard the name "Zach Brown" or his band. And now they're the Best New Artist???? I never understand that category anyway. The bands I have heard of in that category aren't exactly "new" - pretty sure that Silversun Pickups, Ting-Tings and MGMT all have more than one album out? How are they "new"?

Outstanding Soul = Miley Cyrus

Spoken Word = Jello Biafra

Barbershop Quartet = N.W.A.

I still hate the Black Eyed Peas.

The Pink performance was fine, all things considered, but the fact that they gave the Leonard Cohen "Lifetime Achievement Award" all of 5-10 seconds airtime before cutting to her performance sort of ruined the moment.

And that Zach Brown song has been stuck in my head since my brother played it about twenty times at a party last summer, for better or worse. Otherwise I've never heard of them either...

They've given two "lifetime awards" tonight, and each got the same treatment. I don't get it either.

I think the old guy just died live on stage behind his piano.

Richie Sambora still looks bloated and out of it. Guess he never did get off the sauce.

JBJ's voice just sounds kind of weird nowadays -
his odd vowel pronunciations - the keyboard player has always had
hilarious hair. (BY MOTHERFFUCKING CRACKY)

That green day thing in the beginning was also 5 kinds of terrible.
