This is always a funny lark to flip over to during the bowl.

Puppy Bowl VI on Animal Planet

http://animal.discovery.com/tv/puppy-bo ... ineup.html

It was funny in the past that Harry Callas (RIP) would do the play by play which made this a funny 2 minutes to watch. The girls that would be at my past super bowl parties would always enjoy a flip over to Animal Planet (hey you gotta give them 2 minutes to watch something that lets them say "awwwwww," and then have them return to preparing the beef sangwiches during the party.

later

The puppy bowl is the greatest Super Bowl pregame programming ever.

dammit, as usual there's no lab. There's NEVER a lab. Its only the most popular dog in the USA, you would think that maybe at least once they could throw out a yellow lab puppy to cheer for.

Other than that, Puppy Bowl is awesome. I'm not ashamed to admit that I watch a lot more of the Puppy Bowl than the actual Super Bowl every year.

OH.MY.GOD. I love the puppy bowl. I discovered this a few years ago. Waiting to check out the lineup....dialup sucks. Hopefully not too many beagles....(Still mourning my missing Snoopy {MIA 12/2008} and Sally, who died of bladder cancer in March 2009 :( :( )

But the puppy bowl rocks...I love the under the water dish cam and when they call time out to clean up the field.

Fava was robbed:

http://blogs.courant.com/roger_catlin_t ... rsial.html

Puppy Bowl VI: A Controversial MVP

"This breaking item from Puppy Bowl VI: After a couple hours of running around, biting one another and being irrepressibly cute, it was Jake the Chihuahua pug who won MVP of the event.

He was so honored for just being a barrel of energy, darting around Animal Planet's makeshift Puppy Bowl stadium from end to end.

I don't need to say that Jake's win meant Fava was got robbed. After all, he was the one who not only got the game's first touchdown, but he got the second one as well, for the other side. Doubtless this will be the topic of all the puppy sports talk shows tomorrow so I won't dwell on it here."

I thought Duncan should have been tossed out of that game... a lot of cheap shots and unpuppylike conduct. The refs are so damn lenient though... I hope the commissioner toughens up the rules next year.
