Illadelph Halflife is easily the best album they have though

Adrenaline is a dope track

Things Fall Apart will always be my favorite, but illadelph and Phrenology are both solid.

I miss Malik B. He and Black Thought just seemed right together...

No doubt. That was kind of the shark jumping moment for them...I like Black Thought but he needs a foil, someone with a different style than his.

TFA is good too........they started getting worse and worse though..Phrenology is decent, Tipping Point is pretty bad, Game Theory was just awful

Sadly their time has come and gone. They still do a great job backing up other acts and doing the Jimmy Fallon Show. I try to pretend that TFA was their last album...

Listening to this Statik Selectah album a lot the past few days....it's nice. OKC's boy Royce Da 5'9 on it, as well as a host of others- kool g rap, M.O.P., Fashawn, Dilated Peoples, Wale, Bun B, Kweli, etc.

This is a nice cut

I've got the opening music to Superman I stuck in my head. Why? I have no idea :cheese:

Sorry, couldn't find the "Music Stuck in your head" thread.

Supergrass - just rediscovered them as I watched HOT FUZZ. Supergrass and Mansun to me are 2 of the most over looked bands in the 90s brit pop. I love Pulp and like Blur but Supergrass and Mansun were class. Well worth a listen.

Well first of all, no way were Supergrass and Mansun better than Blur or Pulp. That said, yes, Supergrass is pretty solid. I love "Alright". They were a very solid, above average band but I consider Blur and Pulp to both be great. Pleading ignorance on Mansun, perhaps I'll check something out today

Supergrass is right on par with Blur. Blur is really good, but its fans wanted them to be something huge and they just werent.

oh and if you're a brit pop kind of guy, I also highly recommend the Charlatans...I'm a sucker for a good piano/organ and they have that Hammond B3 going pretty good

First album "Some Friendly" is heavy on the organ
Second one "Between 10th and 11th" is more of the same
Third one (self titled) may be the most accessible, more guitar driven and rocking.

it's good stuff

here's something:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQngJrM7BF4

yes it's very early 90's/dated but check out the organ on here...amazing

Not really a Shins fan, but the free iTunes Single of The Week is
the colab between the Shins guy and Danger Mouse, the Gnarls guy.
The song is "The High Road" and they call themselves Broken Bells.

Now this I like alot.

No, I'm not glad he's dead, but I don't miss him either.
Didn't he asphyxiate himself with Vespa exhaust?

i saw them live back in 2000 sometime and i agree, they were really good live. i don't remember which album i have but it has "this is a house this is not a home" which was the song that got me into them in the first place. only thing was the vocals were kinda low, but the organ was masterful.

i liked supergrass but blur was FAR superior. a friend of mine in college got me into all that, pulp too. he got me into ben folds five and super furry animals as well. he had good taste. except that he liked smash mouth.
