That was a total NBA Jam moment. I hate when you get the steal and accidently press the wrong button and your guy chucks up the 3.

Credit Kobe for just standing there and not getting back on defense.

Rondo is just fun to watch. He is the best PG in the East IMO.

Monta shooting 15-19 right now w/ 39 pts (7 turnovers though)

Fighting hard against OKC's Mavs

I've been saying since his rookie year I love Monta's game. I was sipping the Kool-Aid a little too much though because I had him as a top-10 player in the league by now. Not quite but he's a great scorer.

Bagels, Dallas is a sleeping giant. Nobody wants to wake the sleeping giant.

Would you guys rather have Rondo over Rose?

Right now? Yes
For the future of my teams franchise? Probably not

Too tough to call right now. If I HAD to make a choice, it'd probably be Rondo. (I'm assuming this question is in regards to starting a franchise, not just this season. If it's just this season, the choice is considerably easier.)

Yeah I mean for the long haul, not just this season. I really like Rondo's game, but I think would still rather have Rose. I think he has the higher ceiling, but hard to go wrong with either one.

The thing that has me slightly leaning towards Rondo is his defense. That's what seperates superstars from the Arenas', VC's, and McGrady's of the world. And you gotta love PG's with quality post up games, especially when they are younger than 25 still.

Ya, it would be tough to go wrong on either one. IMO give me Rose over Rondo to start a franchise, I still think Rose has some work to do on the defensive side of the ball.

What do you guys think is the issue with Rose's defense? Is it lack of effort, is it he is not being taught right by the coaches? I have been pretty disappointed in this area as I thought a guy with his speed and strength should be able to be a really good defender.

From what I can tell, Rose is really only better at shooting. Rondo is just as fast and strong. He might be a bit slower, but only very slightly so. He's miles and miles ahead of him defensively. I think he's also better at running an offense.

I dont think it's effort. Supposedly he's one of the hardest workers on the team. Most NBA players will work on one weakness every offseason(well the ones that give a shit anyway), and he clearly has improved his jump shot significantly this offseason. Perhaps next offseason he will work on defense. Kevin Durant was awful defensively his first two seasons, and is probably a slightly above average defender right now.

FF, if you put Rose on the Celtics and Rondo on the Bulls do you think this is still the case?

Yes, but to be fair, I really think it's due to experience. Rondo was nowhere near where Rose is 1 1/2 years into his career. But as long as I'm being fair(and balanced), Rondo was considered much more raw coming in.

Rondo is not a game changer like Rose. Rondo works well as a 3rd/4th option but would not be successful in Rose's role.

Why so? I like Rondo - don't get me wrong but I just don't see him with the same ability to score at will as Rose. Rondo seems to succeed more when he is not the top option and teams forget about him.

watching Mavs-Thunder right now

Mavs seem really energized by the trade, coming out strong. Butler looks good

Westbrook is so aggressive....i love his game

Another example of why I would pick a handful of guys to take the last shot before LeBron. Carmelo delivers and King James slips.
