If you know anything, you'd know Frank did this pretty much from day one. He has a great eye. He hit for average mostt of his career and the Home Runs were never crazy different from one year to another.

Barry Bonds is the disgrace here. He was a shoe in before he juiced. He was a legite 5 tool guy. But his jealousy over Sosa and McGwire fueled his cheating. No player was better to watch at all phases in my lifetime than Bonds in my opinion.

Remember this- Paul Molitor is in the hall. He played 3b youth but played most (not sure if it was more than Frank-I think it was) of his games as DH. First Ballot.

If Molitors in. Thomas is in. Three will get in. Maddux, Thomas and Glavine.

No one is above suspicion but some are more suspicious than others. Frank was always a hitter (he's a legend in the SEC) and was a top draft pick. It's not like he was a fat 13th round draft pick out of a junior college in Kansas City then a couple short years later was winning rookie of the year and multiple MVP awards.

Don't worry Ranger. You are just weeks away from getting yelled at by angry, drunk, dumbasses. You'll be doing Sox post game as well.

I suppose nobody is really above suspicion, but I think the only 2 guys from that era that you could honestly believe were totally clean would be Big Frank and Greg Maddux.

Why are you throwing Pujols into this? Has he ever been implicated in the steroids mess? His numbers have been comparable year after year since his rookie year. Its not like theres been a spike in powers numbers in his career

Jeff Kent is the greatest 2nd baseman ever to play the game of baseball.

Hyperbole fully intended, but if Ryno gets in, Kent gets in "with a bullet."

What if Bonds decides to announce his retirement? He would be eligible in 2012, but if he retires in 2013, he is eligible in 2014 as he last played in 2007!

His number prejuice are better than Frank's! and many will see it that way, and moving their vote.

I agree. Unlike Bonds Frank didn't decide to try to keep up with Mac and Sosa. He just kept hitting his 30-40 home runs.

Bonds was the greatest player of this era before he started using but I doubt he will get in. His attitude will keep the majority of voters from voting for him.

I loathe Barry Bonds, but he will be a second ballot HOF'er.

Well, one thing you have to understand is, in the context of talking about great second basemen, there was no one would knew the position better nor played it better nor perfected it better than myself. I believe that when we first landed on the moon, we can look at Neil Armstrong and say, he was arguably the best astronaut of all time. But that's only because he had accomplices. He did not walk on that moon alone. But I stood alone as the greatest when it came to playing second base. When I was growing up, I would sometimes sleep on second base when we played sand lot. The next morning, I would wake up, and I just felt the base for a little while. I'd speak to it. It didn't speak back because I already knew the answer to any question I was going to ask. Was I the greatest? Was I going to turn that double play?

Undoubtedly. The Hall of Fame was created for players such as myself. Not for some players who played for a team like the Cubs in the 1980's.

And in my dictionary, the words "Jeff Kent" don't exist.

When you remove the juicers the list still looks pretty damn impressive to me.

I believe wholeheartedly the Griffey Jr. juiced. In fact, I believe that was his downfall. The guy was the greatest thing going in Seattle and then all of a sudden he couldn't stay in one piece? Maybe he overdid it with the roids or maybe he wasn't using them properly, but come on, he couldn't even run down the first base line in Cincy with out pulling or tearing something.

Wasn't Thome a bean pole 3rd sacker when he first came up? I struggle to believe that someone who physically couldn't play the field anymore, still managed to be a productive power hitter in his late thirties without the aid of something.

As far as I know, Mr. B, neither Bonds nor Clemens have technically announced their retirements from Bud Selig's Major League Baseball. Because of their holier than thou attitudes, I don't think either one will EVER find their way into Cooperstown.
