The 3,000 hits and 300 wins carry much more weight now than the 500 HR's.

Here's the list of players with over 500 career HR's:

1. Barry Bonds 762 (Steroids)
2. Hank Aaron+ 755
3. Babe Ruth+ 714
4. Willie Mays+ 660
5. Ken Griffey 630 (Generally considered clean)

6. Sammy Sosa 609 (Steroids)
7. Frank Robinson+ 586
8. Mark McGwire 583 (Steroids)
Alex Rodriguez 583 (Steroids)
10. Harmon Killebrew+ 573
11. Rafael Palmeiro 569 (Steroids)
12. Jim Thome 564 (Generally considered clean)
13. Reggie Jackson+ 563
14. Mike Schmidt+ 548
15. Manny Ramirez 546 (Steroids)
16. Mickey Mantle+ 536
17. Jimmie Foxx+ 534
18. Willie McCovey+ 521
Frank Thomas 521 (Generally considered clean)
Ted Williams+ 521
21. Ernie Banks+ 512
Eddie Mathews+ 512
23. Mel Ott+ 511
24. Gary Sheffield 509 (Steroids)
25. Eddie Murray 504

When you remove the juicers the list still looks pretty damn impressive to me.

I believe wholeheartedly the Griffey Jr. juiced. In fact, I believe that was his downfall. The guy was the greatest thing going in Seattle and then all of a sudden he couldn't stay in one piece? Maybe he overdid it with the roids or maybe he wasn't using them properly, but come on, he couldn't even run down the first base line in Cincy with out pulling or tearing something.

Wasn't Thome a bean pole 3rd sacker when he first came up? I struggle to believe that someone who physically couldn't play the field anymore, still managed to be a productive power hitter in his late thirties without the aid of something.

I agree. I've been a believer that Griffey was using roids for years.

I wholeheartedly agree that Frank was juicing since high school. Someone doesn't get that number of injuries all over his body just by chance. And that size wasn't all natural. He fell apart so badly that his body couldn't even withstand playing first base. The only reason that he "protested" so much for steroids testing is that he knew that it would never go through, allowing him to come off as the good guy and protect his legacy.

Prove me wrong, now that I've thrown out equally evidence-less accusations.

You forgot to add that he was an SEC football player in the 80s. It would have been odd if he wasn't juicing.

Trudat

If you think Bo was juicing, it stands to reason Frank was as well.
