With only trading Salmons???

You got 5 coming off with this trade + Miller, James and Thomas....you are close to the max deal.

They could do a max deal now with this deal.

Latest rumor is Al Harrington to Bulls for Tyrus Thomas and Jerome James.

I just found this nugget:

Quote:
Lastly, Chris Bosh for Deng and Noah was offered by the Bulls and is still on the table, however, its the Raptors who are reluctant. The Raptors were intrigued by the idea and do fear they will lose Bosh for nothing this off season, but seem unwilling to make such a huge splash and are highly attached to their franchise player. They're reluctant to make such a drastic change, trade the face of their franchise and disrupt the chemistry of a playoff team.

Would you pull the trigger if you are the Bulls or Raptors?

Bulls: Only if you can get Bosh locked up to an extension

Raptors: Yes.

But would does that leave you with for next season?

Rose
Bosh
Could we afford another max guy if Bosh is signed to an extension? (Im not sure on money rules with re-signing your own guys)
The rest of the roster would be a giant poo-poo platter.

It's an intriguing deal, but I don't know. Noah and Deng's value are extremely high right now, but they could regress back to their formal selves. This would be a huge deal for both teams if it gets done.

The Bulls and Bucks have finally settled on a package for John Salmons, as Milwaukee will trade the expiring contracts of Joe Alexander and Hakim Warrick.

Alexander was a lottery pick in the 2008 NBA Draft, but has battled injuries during most of his stay with the Bucks.

Salmons becomes a free agent after the 2010-11 season.

Bulls are working hard to get a 3 way with Sacramento....trying to get them to take Tyrus and Hinrich, kings would send knicks tmac...bulls would get harrington back - other items would need to be moved

So I take it this means the 3 way deal with Kings and NY is not happening?

I liked Acie Law coming out of school but he has struggled in the pros right? Is he another expiring deal?

Both are definitely expiring. The fact that we got a pick in this is unreal.

With this trade you have decreased this teams projected wins by 5. (Bulls)

The only thing that really matters in this trade is the first round pick the Bulls got. If the money is equal and they are all expiring, that won't make any additional cap space for 2010. But I guess it's also a plus that Tyrus is out of town. Now Pax can't make a mistake and end up re-signing him.

Sorry, I was laughing at the so-called geniuses that projected that by jettisoning TT from your roster for anyone, you would somehow worsen your team by 5 games in the standings.

Nobody cares about that.

You have to admit, 2 underperforming guys for 4 expiring contracts (and maybe a 1st rounder) is -- dare i say, not bad. Foreman might already have a better track record than Paxson.

A better track record than a guy whose only real accomplishment was winning the draft lottery shouldn't be that hard, but it's still nice.

Best part is the new and improved basketballs pictured. How long did those last, a half a season maybe? Anybody here ever use one?

This deal is perplexing. It looks like the Kings got a pile of shit. Im assuming those are expiring deals? I know Hughes is.
