Solid entertainment. I liked the pacing and the execution. Anthony Hopkins was fantastic.

You will not feel cheated. See this film.

If you're a fan of "Wolfman" you should see this. Good remake. Couple of issues with character development but overall works out.

:D :D :D out of :D :D :D :D

Rich "Svengoolie" Koz aired the original version of "The Wolfman" from the early '40s not that long ago on his popular horror movie show on WCIU 26 The U & WWME 23 Me TV. Unfortunately, due to contractual obligations with Universal Pictures, (now known as NBC Universal) you won't be seeing the 1943 monster movie on "Svengoolie" ever again. :(

I think Svengoolie should start showing Lifetime Movies in "Sven-Surround", or whatever it's called.

Colonel, when "Svengoolie" joined Channel 26 in 1995 when WCIU became The U, every movie he aired back then did have a segment in "Sven-Surround". Those were dubbed in jokes, sound effects & added dialogue NOT exactly in the movie. You won't see it tonight at 10p when "Svengoolie" airs the 1967 Joan Crawford suspense/horror film "BERSERK!" from the SONY/Columbia Pictures archives on The U.

So it's better than the Wolfman movie with Jack Nicholson and Ross from Friends?

Saw this yesterday, it was my wife's pick. She really liked it. I thought it was
about average at best. Maybe it was because I kinda knew what was going to
happen from the get go. The acting was ok I guess. Special effects were better
than average for the most part, although I didn't like it when the Wolfman was
running on all fours, that looked really hokey. Makeup and action was decent.
My favorite part was the locations and sets they shot at, and how dark the
movie was. Oh yeah, I also discovered Emily Blunt for the first time, so that
was a definite positive.

Timely review, W_Z, thanks. I'm going to see it this afternoon but the reviews on Rotten Tomatoes were not very good and I was deciding if I should try to convince my friend to see something else instead. I wanted to see this when I saw the previews and I think I'll stick with our original plan.

She had a great couple of scenes in Charlie Wilson's War.

WZ likes too many things. I think every movie he has ever reviewed on here (maybe with 1 or 2 exceptions) is three smileys out of four. He is the Roger Ebert of CSFMB.

This was my only complaint. Pretty good film, though...

i'll take being compared to a pulitzer prize winning critic. :P

i only go see movies that i want to see and am pretty sure i'm going to like. most of the time i'm not disappointed. so take what you will from that. my review site offers a much more comprehensive approach than the reviews i put on here, but i think i'm pretty fair most of the time.

there are 2 movies i would like to take back recommendations on: "where the wild things are" and "9". other than that i'd pretty much stand by my original reviews.

if someone wants to start paying me to write reviews i'll go see your "percy jackson"s and "from paris with love"s and other movies i have otherwise no relative interest in.

This movie was meh, I don't know how you could give it 3 :D W_Z... It was predictable and really fucking gory. Not worth seeing in theaters IMO, a totally forgettable movie...

The only thing I could think of during the second half of the movie was: "You hear that Mr. Anderson? It's the sound of inevitability, the sound of your death" God I love that actor, he's kind of a one trick pony, but he's awesome...

You must've missed Zack's Indy 4...The quest for the crystal dick or whatever. He hated that. I'm ashamed to admit that I was entertained by it, but there was lots of bad in it as well.
