Yes. If they replace all five offensive linemen. Maybe three.

Patriots will sign LT.

Ok, I understand that you feel that the Bears need another RB, I just don't think that LT has anything left. In the present-day NFL, RBs over 30 are usually done.

That would certainly help Forte's longevity, but the Bear still need another guy, and hopefully a better guy at that

Seems like my guy, psychopath Lagarette Blount is moving up draft boards. I'm going to need another RB to be my guy.

Myron Rolle is my official guy in this draft.

My guess without doing much research would be either New England or Houston for Tomlinson.

That's what I was thinking too. Maybe the Giants or Ravens would add him to their backfields as well.

That's not fair to Emmitt. He had a slightly productive stretch in Arizona. Shaun Alexander is closer I think.

I didn't realize he has played 9 years already. Do the Seau and come back in week 12 with fresh legs for a playoff team or else just shut it down. Don't got out like alexander.

Exactly. Not only do you get a very good back, you weaken the Vikings by taking him. LT has too many miles on him and too big of an ego to be a third down/pass catching back.

LT is a borderline top 5 running back of all time IMO.

I think they both are. I don't think the LT/Emmitt comparison is crazy, just not at this point in their careers.

I would ake Chester Taylor over LT but the cost of each is quite different. LT is bargain bin, and he gives more than Kevin Jones, our Adrian Peterson, and Garrett Wolfe. Even in 01.

Call me crazy but I would be willing to give Jones another shot. He knows the offense too. I just feel Chester will want to be paid as a starter. IMO that money would be better spent somewhere else. A healthy Forte should make a difference too.

IMO Emmitt/Franco Harris is more like right. Although in fairness Emmitt was tougher than Franco and was asked to catch many more passes. Each ran behind a great line, as the focal points of a good RB/FB group, with great receivers and with very good QBs, in creative offenses on all time teams.

While each had twi-three all-time highlight plays, I never would have paid $$ to see either of them perform.

I don't know that I'd put either of them (Franco & Emmitt) in my top ten, despite their #s.

Emmitt had the luxury of playing behind some amazing lines. When I think of him as a player Thurman Thomas comes to mind. Great back but not a top 5 back. When I see LT I think of Walter.

Pro football reference did a write-up on Smith not too long ago that said the O-line argument is oversold. They made a convincing case on Smith's behalf. I'll link if I find the time later.
