But those "other guys" do not play for the Cavs, so in this instance your point doesn't hold water.

Edit: Pretty good line by Lebron 43 Pts, 13 Reb, 15 Ast, 2 Stl, 4 Blk

Should be a great game between Magic and Cavs.

Hope so, just turned it on. Want to see how Jamison plays today coming off the bench

If you look back to the draft I had him in the top 5 by next year.

Dwight just absolutely tearing it up down low.Going to his left with ease and the Cavs are late to help.

Shaq was pretty good too. As strong as Howard is he is like a boy going up against a man when he goes against Shaq. He can move him. Shaq is still the strongest guy in the league.

A caller to SHARK's mancrush suggested we not go after LeBron or Bosh and save up for Durant. Got me thinking about signing him in 2 years when hes an unresricted fa. (I think) Id rather have Durant than LeBron right now going forward

I believe there is only a 3 year difference in age therefore as much as I like Durant I would still prefer LeBron. We have never seen a talent like LeBron. Every year he appears to improve what were already amazing numbers. It's unlikely Durant will surpass LeBron in anything but scoring. He is almost averaging a triple double while scoring 30 points a game. He is responsible for over 50 points a game for nearly an entire season. He will easily win his 2nd MVP award this season too.

There is no guarantee that Durant will ever be available. What's to say OKC doesn't re-up him with the Bird rights?

Not only that, but I wouldnt want to leave if I were him. Durant, Westbrook, Harden, Green + lots of cap room still. That team is going to be awesome.

Or they could end up being the Blazers. A team that you expect greatness from but never reaches it.

Right, but Durant is the difference I think. He's a better alpha than Roy. This team is a year or two and some front court help away from being a perennial title contender.

Hawks let one slip away tonight, and Woodson got outcoached.

Crazy good night for Kidd:

19 points
16 rebounds
17 assists

Not too shabby for J. Smith either:

18 points
10 rebounds
8 assists
8 steals

Hawks vs Mavs was a fun one to watch. Kidd and Smith were clearly the two consistently best on each team. Hawks got too much into their "Stand around and hope Joe Johnson scores" offense at the end of the game and in OT.

I am really liking how the Mavs play after this trade. Butler and Haywood have really helped them out. I think they now maybe the 2nd best team in the West.

i'll give credit where credit is due- you're right, they have been playing well since the trade despite Butler missing the last few games. I know Dampier is decent and plays well for them but I think haywood is still an upgrade, he's a bit more mobile and seems to run the floor better which fits into their style. also really surprised at how well Kidd has been shooting this year...and he's taking a lot of 3s

Collison almost beat them by himself last night. I don't expect this bump to last.

Considering your record around here, this makes me feel even better about the Mavs chances! 8)

Why the Mavs love? Why not the Bulls?

Same question for OKC

The Bulls will always be my favorite team. But the Mavs have been my favorite team from the West for a lot of years. I really like Dirk, and hope he does well.
