It most certainly is not bullshit. Goff is the 3rd wheel here but I'll withhold judgement until I hear it.

I'll take Holmes over Spiegel any day. Can't say I've missed his guffawing and tee-heeing a bit.

Goff is third to Vandy? No fuckin' way.

I'll just be glad to hear Goff on during an actual weekday. Hopefully he shows his bosses he can handle this sort of thing....

OPV hasn't paid his dues like Goff and isn't nearly as good.

Disagree with that statement Spaulding. Goff is the future, and when Boers retires I think Goff will fit in nicely with Bernstein.

How do you know that and Who cares about paying dues? I'd say Sir Laurence has paid his dues but most of you wouldn't care if he ever was given airtime again.

I haven't heard much of Goff so this will be new for me. I hope it is as good as you say but I've never had my socks knocked off when he has been on during B&B. Mac and Vandy are a great pairing and I think vandy is great on the radio. I don't want Goff rocking that boat or trying too hard to fit in.

Mac's pimp hand must be weak having Goff on the show like this.

Classic Holmes turtle moment.
Mac and Larry discuss Erin Andrews' appearance on "Dancing with the Stars", and Holmes dresses down those who viewed the peepage. Mac cuts of Holmes and states he watched the video -- for professional purposes only. Larry quickly backs off on his stance.

I believe Drew Hayes leaving has taken the "Drinky and Goff are not On Air guys" decree with him.

Vandy is going to be on the show because he is Mac's friend. The few times I've heard him on, he's been ok. I'm not sure why you assume Jason will be the one to "rock the boat". He's been with SCR for about 10 years. He does a very good show when given the opportunity...

...and to check (several times) if it was actually her. Still inconclusive - I'm gonna need a few more viewings.

Agreed that Holmes has paid his dues, but putting forth effort does not mean someone has the talent to continue to warrant the opportunities. Holmes is best cast at the 6-10 spot solo where he can be goofy. Have him be a contributor to the shows as Bears/Cubs whatever reporter if they want.

Goff has yet to really get his chance. I echo what others are saying and hope he dominates Thursday.

I didn't even understand that point. He's saying that he and Goff have to act like Stuart Scott because that's what black sportscasters are expected to sound like?

I don't want anybody to sound like Stuart Scott.

My feelings are closest to this. I am not sure I want him to dominate, just seamlessly fit in with the other guys. He is entirely capable of doing it. If he dominates, Mac will let him do it (Mac typically doesn't make a difficult situation worse on air) and Goff comes off as a tool trying to take over the show.

At the moment, Goff is probably the best at WSCR for that 6 - 10 slot. Run him solo or with someone. He is good in the later hours. Not sure if his style will play out as well at this point in his career on prime time.

He has no point. Holmes is working his way back to my PTFB list...

larry must have pictures of mitch with a donkey to get this much airtime. the bottom line is that urkel is not a good sports radio host. he really shouldn't be on the air in a big market. "Hey everyone, you're listening to the MEshow on 1490AM, Topeka's sport station. Will Alex Gordon ever play up to his potential for the Royals? Do the Royals keep giving him another chance cause he is white?"

Holmes calling someone (here Commish Bettman) "a smarmy little bastard".

Priceless

Really? Wow. This will be great. Mac is better when Meatpants is off, except when LoHo fills in for Meat. Goff & OP Vandy are both great.

I really don't understand why there is such an uproar when LoHo is on any show. The only thing that bothers me about him is his occasional obvious, yet maybe unintentional Bernsie imitation.

Do you think Terry sings this song to Jason? I do. C'mon. Picture Terry doing it and you'll laugh.

By the way, Whitney Houston looked so good here and I like this song. It's a shame she got addicted to crack and heroine. :(
