I predict Mitch Rosen will move Dan McNeil to afternoons in June and pair him with Dan Bernstein. He will give middays to Lawrence Holmes and Matt Spiegel. Jason Goff will get from 6-10pm. Terry Boers will not be retained.

Mac and Bernstein are the two people at the station most capable of leading a show. They won't pair them together because the best ratings will come from two shows instead of one.

I predict Boers & Bernstein will breakup this summer, much like Chris "Mad Dog" Russo and Mike Francesa stopped working together on 670 The SCORE's sister station and the grandfather of sports talk in this country, New York's WFAN. I'm sticking by my prediction...

One of my issues with the ad is a woman talking about giving her dog "antibotics". You're a grown woman! How hard is it to say Antibiotics? And why couldn't they have corrected her and done the spot again?

What about a 3 man booth for the afternoon show? Boers, Bernstein and Holmes? Holmes is awful, I think most of the board have that general attitude towards him because of his desire to act like a tough guy, try to steer a subject that has nothing to do with it into a racial topic, etc. Saying that, Score Management seems to think this guy is worthy of on air time, and he gets the majority of fill-in time during the afternoon and mid-day shows. Is there any chance they just add him as a permanent fixture to that show?

It seems a bit unrealistic to think that McNeil would lose his hand-picked partner a year into the new show.

Why would the Score want to pay 3 full timers for a show when B&B do good numbers? Plus B&B wouldn't like that cuz they would have to take less to accomodate a 3rd person.

No way the Score ever pairs Mac and Bernstein. They are the only 2 guys at the Score that can drive a show like a pro. Why pair them when you can use their skills in 2 slots.

The name of the show is the Danny Mac show...not the Mac & Spiegel show. Macs partner can be replaced & its still the Danny Mac show. The fact that Meatpant's doesn't get any show billing is odd, but is also telling. It's the Danny Mac show with just some guy who happens to be Spiegel. Meat & Mac signed 1 year contracts & I'm not convinced that Spiegel gets an extension.
Whenever Meatpant's is off, the Danny Mac show is better. That's a problem for Spiegs.

I disagree with alot that has been said about Spiegs. The show works in my opinion. Maybe I'm just used to it...the flight miles. I also enjoy the goofiness between the two of them, but maybe that's because I'm a 38 year-old with the intelligence and mind set of a 12 year-old.

I'm looking forward to when Mac and Spiegs are talking baseball a whole bunch. Spiegs has a ton of baseball info and thoughts that he brings.
