Best Documentary: NOT anything by Michael Moore ...ever again.

I pretty much agree with this but for some reason I think Avatar is sneak in and take either best pic or director

Jeff Bridges - I don't recall him being anything less than stellar in his roles. He doesn't overact and usually makes his characters believable and relatable

Christoph Waltz stole the movie imo. For me he made me hate and like his character at the same time

i wouldn't mind if cameron won "director" but as i said in the "hurt locker" thread, "avatar" better not win best picture. doesn't deserve it and makes the wrong statement about how important movies can be.

I take Mrs Bullock for best actress and Hurt Locker chick for best director.

I would think that might affect it's chances. I dont think it's as good a movie as many seem to, but I agree with Zach in that I just hope Avatar doesnt win.

I don't see Gabourey Sidibe winning Best Actress over everyone else...not that she isn't worthy (because I haven't seen the movie), but the AA's aren't generally given to newcomers.

waltz'll get supporting actor, i'm thinking actress will go to bullock (and like all best actress winners, she will burst into tears).

tough call on screenplay but i think "basterds" deserves it most.

I heard that John Hughes is going to get his own little video dedication. WTF is that all about? John Wayne, Paul Newman, and many other greats haven't gotten any 'special treatment', have they?
