Wow. Like the song says "there's something happening here". Did Pappy anounce he wouldn't be here the rest of the week during the show? Did he say something like...

"I'm out for da rest of da week. Da J.e.w, da black, and da drunk will be sittin in."

It's kind of odd to work Mon and Tue and take the rest of the week off. Especially coming off all of the Summer vacation time.

I was listening on the way in this morning and I am starting to be convinced that Drinky either needs to be or needs a strong #2 paired with him. Listening to him with Fred is just getting to the point of unlistenable when Fred just does his normal 'Uh Huh, Yeah"

The problem isn't drinky--it's Fred. drinky's solo shows are generally very good to outstanding. Fred's milquetoast approach to radio is dragging drinky down.

Anyone hear the caller this morning at about 6:30 AM, asking Fred where Annie was ?

Fred says that she's in the studio, acting like she's waiting for a question directed for her or something....

The caller then says, that's not what I mean, why doesn't she have a speaking role anymore ?

Fred, unsure of the answer, says, "I don't know how to answer that one", and changes the subject to the Cubs manager search.

IMO, somebody can't give Fred a better answer than that ? I know they're not going to say they're fixing a mistake, but Fred's answer was pretty bad!

What's worse than Fred is the thought of a caller asking where she was because he MISSES LISTENING TO HER ON THE RADIO.

Is that possible?
