It will be fun when the villians start voting people off. Talk about cut throat.

I think they made the wrong choice in getting rid of Randy last night. Pavarti was/is much more of a threat the longer they allow her to stick around.

I started liking Russell a lot towards the end of last season. But I think he is growing way too cocky this season. He is going to end up getting voted off pretty quickly I think. I think the majority of the villians will side with Rob over Russell.

I couldn't believe how badly the villians got manhandled in that elimination
challenge. Each one had their asses handed to them. I think things may
have been a bit different if Coach would have been awarded his match but
when they had to redo it and he lost, it seemed the whole team lost all
momentum.

It will be interesting to see how the machete thing plays out.

i finally got around to watching this episode and i couldn't agree more with you. and they really sold you on the fact that parvati was the target. i have no idea why they got rid of randy.

and coach revealed himself to be even more of a hypocrite and a liar by voting for him after saying HE WOULDN'T and that he was the only honorable one in this game???

jesus someone needs to look in the mirror...

I don't think Russell is long for this game.

wow.

damn that was one of the most exciting episodes i've seen...this season is without a doubt one of the best of the series.

coach has got to be one of the phoniest douchebags to play this game.

crying like a baby and then saying you're a dragonslayer again?

fucking pussy.

and russell's really playing russian roulette in this game right now...

Completely agree Z, real good episode and season so far.

I think they made the right choice in getting rid of Cirie tonight, she is dangerous.

Coach continues to be an idiot, he is by far my least favorite player in this game right now. I was hoping he would leave.

I hadn't watched much Survivor for a while but came back this season. So far, really good. I thought tonights episode was great. Although the non-stop alliance crap is the reason I kind of gave up on the show, so some of that is getting old. Rupert's answers at tribal council were perfect. "Sure, it will make the team worse, but my word is my word"

Side note: Maybe I just hadn't noticed before or maybe it was tonight's camera angles, but Courtney on the Villians is skinny to the point of needing hospitalization. She's concentration camp skinny.

Very enjoyable episode. That is the way the game is supposed to be played.
Cirie was very dangerous but she really didn't bring a whole lot to the team
physically. It was a nice move to get rid of her and change the dynamic of
the tribe. The Heroes better step up their games in the challenges.

cirie also took it well. her message at the end was honorable, and not pathetic or spiteful. she simply said, "you got me." that's pretty cool of her.

i thought for sure tyson would've been making snide remarks on confessional after coach sobbing like a 2 year old...i really really hope he can use it against coach later on in the game. i think tyson can go far. he's very quiet and he didn't show any signs really in his last appearance on "survivor" of being a major threat or a total backstabber, IIRC.

i agree that the heroes need to get better in challenges. they really came close last night, just a bit short.

casual--i noticed the same thing. she really is deathly skinny.

I agree Cirie took it very well. I was actually kind cheering that they pulled
off the blindside. She realized the tables had been turned and walked out
with her head high. I think people that get voted out at that stage at least
feel like they must have been a real threat to get voted off and blindsided.
That has to make you feel better as a player and strategist in the game.
I am interested to see who gets injured next week during that wrestling
challenge.

Was sad to see Cirie go, she is a great strategist and brings a lot more excitement to the game than those two boring stiffs, Tom and Colby.

Am very happy to see Boston Rob settling into his position as front runner. He's proving once again that there is no one in the history of the game who is better at playing the social game. Every season he's been on he's been the most popular person on his tribe and the one that everyone gravitates to.

Was sad to see Russel make such a bonehead move last night, I wouldv'e expected him to at least wait till no one was around to go run off and look for the idol. And idiot, you really can't hide behind a tree when a 3 person camera crew is standing right next to you.

And I want Danielle to stick around as long as possible cause I love looking at her tits.

And please please please let Rupert get hurt and possibly die next week. A decapitation would be AWESOME.

i can't believe they voted for tom. how can you keep an injured player, even if it is james?

this tribe has to be one of the worst of all time survivor history in decision making. and their puzzle skills are worse than a 3rd grader's.

rob is my guy. unfortunately, russell's got the muscle now.

Russell does have the muscle for sure with the idol.

I was very hyped up to see this show return, but it seems as if they all came in with these attitudes that they are so great and so wonderful. James, Colby, JT, Pavarotti, and of course Russell always had a big head in this game. Maybe their arogance is rubbing me the wrong way, I just dont like this season as much.

i like the entertainment, but you're right, it's hard finding someone to root for.

i'm picking rob mainly because of how he's played the game and treated everyone. besides his little meltdown he's been solid.

I had never seen an episode that involved Boston Rob so I didnt know what to expect. The guy plays his ass off and yeah I would have to say out of everyone(maybe JT) Im rooting for him the most.

Agreed. You could almost see the look of glee on Jeff Probst's face as they voted to keep James. It was like he was thinking "Dumb asses. Lets make tomorrows challenge one involving running and jumping. He he he."

I'm so pissed, my two favorite survivors of all time (Boston Rob and Russell) are fighting.

So happy to see the heroes go down, they suck. Bunch of frauds, most of them got by just being super nice as opposed to actually playing the game. Fucking Rupert is the biggest joke of all of them. Can't stand that jackass.

from what i've read about him, rupert seems like a decent guy.

but he's being exposed in this show.

here's the thing: he was great when he was on pearl islands. became a fan favorite, lovable huggable grizzly adams guy. poster child of what you'd want out of a "survivor". except for the manipulating part...he just doesn't do it.

the reason it worked in pearl islands was because he was able to take that tribe under his wing. he was the "big brother". that's what he does for a living. it works.

when he's surrounded by people who don't need a big brother, he is useless. he has no value. he has no ability to manipulate and the few times he's tried to use "strategy" it backfires because he doesn't have the knack.

he doesn't belong in this show when he's with other people who have played. if he were on a tribe full of n00bs, he'd flourish. everyone would gravitate toward him. but this isn't that situation. he's out of his element, and it shows greatly in this season. i can't stand him in this season. i am not rooting for him at all. he's already set up his charities and his programs and he's doing fine. he doesn't need anything else.

and he is NOT a true survivor, in this game. he cannot outwit or outlast.

the heroes are not playing the game. they're scrambling. their egos are clashing. the villains will have this same problem when the tribes merge or when they lose an immunity challenge. but the thing is, they're not really *villains*; some of them are truly great players.

my list of good players (that are left):

russell
rob
parvati
jerri
jt

the bad players:

coach
rupert
amanda
courtney
sandra
danielle

the muddled middle:

colby (always has potential but wusses out too much)
james (has no social skills to the game; too loud)
tyson (has physical ability and i think he's waiting in the wings)
candice (showed promise in her last time on "survivor" and is a hottie but not sure what else she brings now)

amanda is a crybaby and has no real strategic ability. rupert is out of his element. coach is delusional. sandra doesn't even remotely belong in this game, same with courtney. danielle...fake boobs, congrats. not a lot of depth.

of course, ALL of the "heroes" have proven they are useless at puzzles. and those are gonna keep on comin...

Z, curious as to what JT has done to be considered a good player this season so far. I think his constantly being in the middle could come back to bite him.

Couldn't believe they kept James either. Yes, he is a physical specimen but
with one leg even that is taken away from him. The Heroes have really
disappointed me since dominating that one challenge where they were
tossing Villans off the platform left and right. Just a mentally weak group.

i don't think he's made a blunder that's cost him yet; while he doesn't have the "trust" of everyone, i think he's still making a play and he's still a physical contributor. maybe at worst he could be a "muddled middle" player but he still has a pretty good alliance. but i still think of him as a good player.

Disagree with a lot of this. Jerri has never proven herself to be even an adequate player, let alone a good one. Amanda has a solid track record playing this game and has a firm grasp on strategy. Sandra has already won this game and might not be the best winner ever, but she is definitely not a bad player. JT is clearly overplaying the game way too early. Foreshadowing last night from Amanda hinted at his eventual demise.

i'm speaking mostly from this season only but i disagree that jerri isn't a good player. she's got a good physical game and she has been decent in challenges.

sandra won...yeah. so did vecepia. remember her? i really don't. sandra rode coattails and made i think one or two moves late when there wasn't anything else to do. i don't consider her a good player.

Please don't ever mention the word Vecepia again. We're having a friendly conversation here and there's no reason to stoop to that level. Thanks for ruining my weekend, I had completely forgotten she ever existed until you brought it up.

As far Sandra, I can't argue with you on her coat tail riding, but she didn't do anymore coattail riding than Tom or some other winners. Also, what has she done this season to make you say she is a bad player? She hitched up with Rob early on, that seems like a wise decision. She knows Russel is up to no good and had him figured out early on. So she's perceptive about people which is a HUGE part of the game.

As for Jerri, a good physical game and being good in challenges doesn't mean much. Case in point, you just said James was a bad player and he is as good in the physical portioon of the game as anyone who's ever played it. Jerri is terrible at the social part of the game, always has been, always will. Her first season she was an idiot. Her second season she mailed it in. And this season she hitched up to Coach, one of the dumbest people in the history of the game. Don't see how she can be called even an adequate player, let alone a good player. She has definitely mellowed in terms of her personality and I'll give her credit for that, she is no longer hated and annoying.

heh. ok. forget i said it.

yeah, i mean...there are a lot of perceptive people though. she plays up this role of being something she's not it seems...maybe it's just me personally, but i don't see anything from sandra. she doesn't do any work and just goes along with what the majority says...kind of what she did last time, too.

ok granted. the black widow shit is bad. bad bad. i mean, badder than tournament bad. she didn't do jack shit to earn that title. but there's a difference between her and james.

james is a loud mouth. he's thrown down when it's not necessary. he needs to keep his mouth shut at times when he pipes in and makes himself the center of attention. he's lucky that steph was the victim because he easily could have been if tom had more hand than he did.

you're right that tom rode some coat tails, but IIRC tom won some individual immunities in the end that got him to the end...i'm too lazy and buzzed to look it up so if i'm wrong i'll admit it. but i think tom did a decent job to get himself to the end.

Quote:
Her second season she mailed it in.

i dunno...that season, you could mail it in, she wasn't the only one guilty of that. but i'll agree that she was terrible in that season. again, i'm speaking more of this season. i think she's done a decent job and has played more to her strengths here.

Quote:

she has hitched up with someone she thought had a power play...i think she'll get wise to who she needs to align with. and i think she could be pivotal between russell and rob.

look, this is just me personally--but you're right, she is mellowed and whatnot. but i think it's unfair to say that she's not even adequate. i think she's just above mediocre because she does contribute and she does do a little shadowing and whatnot.

look i want to hate her a little more than i do. i never liked her. but i think she's good, or at least, i think she has potential to be good.

if i'm wrong, i'll certainly admit it. maybe i'm just projecting too much.
