Yeah, it's bad Karma to revel in the injuries of your rivals. No, I wouldn't wish for a division opponant to lose a star player at all. If you can't beat them at their best, you're not going to do well in the playoffs anyway.
That's bad ju-ju dude. If I were you I'd make a donation to something on the way home.

I never root for an injury and I'm put off by those who do. My point was that if there was one pitcher in the AL Central whose injury would enhance the White Sox chances at winning the division, it would be Joe Nathan.

No one should root for a player to get injured, but I guarantee that if Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers goes down with a bad injury, this board lights up like a Christmas tree!

Cub fans would be happy if Pujols got hurt and had to miss the season. I mean they wouldn't be like "yes that asshole is hurt!" (most of them wouldn't anyway) It would be more of "Wow Pujols is gone, this REALLY helps the Cubs!"

Its the latter with Nathan. He's a great pitcher and by all accounts a good guy all the way around. Its terribly unfortunate for him, but it really helps my team out.

Well at least I'm listening.
And I wouldn't be happy if Pujols got hurt. I'm actually a fan. I think he could be the next to challenge the HR record. I'd like to see that. I root for the guy.

Why do you respond to every sox post with a negative about the cubs? This has nothing to do with the cubs or cubs fans. Jesus you have a fan inferiority complex.

A-Rod will challenge before Pujols.

Until there is a MLB test for HGH, I suspect every homerun hitter.

I don't root FOR an injury to happen. But if it happens to help my team have a better chance of winning, I'm not exactly disappointed for the injured player.

So let me get this straight.... if your playing fantasy football, with the playoffs or money on the line, and one of your opponents key players gets hurt and doesn't return to the game, you're not the least bit pleased that you don't have to worry about that player kickin' your team's ass?

Because nobody involved with the current St. Louis Cardinals staff would ever lead you to have any suspicion of their power hitters

You guys really think Pujols is dirty? He's not changed much in size from early on has he? He was tested in the minors when he was there right? And pretty much since what 2004? 2003?

I am a Cubs fan who respects what Pujols brings to the game. He just
doesn't seem to be the type of guy that would knowingly cheat. I may
find out differently years from now, but that is my opinion. I read an
article from Peter King a few weeks ago who was chatting with Parcells
about football. Talk turned to baseball and Parcells mentioned that he
walked by the Cardinals weight room at spring training at 6:45 in the
morning and Pujols is in there all by himself lifting, and apparently he
had been there a while. I am only mentioning this to clarify Pujol's
amazing work ethic. The guy is soft spoken and seems to play
the game the right way. He is active in his community and supports
many charities. Maybe this is due to his child being handicapped but
I have a feeling he'd be there either way. I could be wrong about the
guy, but I hope not.

All I know is where there is smoke there is usually fire and there is plenty of smoke around LaRussa....Canseco, McGwire, Ankiel, Edmonds, Rolen.....there are alot of guys on his teams that seem to have that extra edge. I am not saying 100% that he cheated but if I had to put money on it I would say that he has/is using HGH if not other suppliments.

More than Justin Verlander?? I think Detroit is still the top contender with the Sox in 2010 and if they are to win, it will be Verlander leading the way. It's hard to know how the Twins will play in 2010, in the new ballpark where they will be outdoors.
