Goff is the only Score guy who posts here regularly. It's gotta be tough for Spiegel to come her & read the posts about him. I can see why he may not want to return. However, he might do himself some good if he would at least address some of the criticism, like Mac did after he returned to the Score. I don't think Spiegel will be Macs partner in year 2 though.

I have given the same unsolicited advice to every sports radio person I've met. You should read the board for growth in your profession, and ignore a large percentage of the people that shit on people because they are miserable with no life. Actually, if you look at the comments after an article on any newspaper website, it makes this joint look like a Harvard study group.

That's a gross exaggeration of something you cannot prove. So let's agree to disagree here: you have your perception and I have mine. Bernstein tore into more than few callers this week, especially about the Rose-Howard "incident." It's not about being better or worse to callers; it's about Bernstein attempting to counter emotional arguments with facts, or what he perceives as facts.

Bernstein is much closer to being a constant than the callers, which is a diverse and ever-shifting group. In other words, some days/weeks/months/years the callers are less trenchant than others. When something like the Rose-Howard kerfuffle occurs, it tends to bring out those who prefer emotional arguments that have greater applicability in daily life than they do within the narrow parameters of a professional sports game. Bernstein doesn't suffer fools gladly and he doesn't pretend to be something he is not, as far as I can tell.

But none of this matters if I'm entertained by the show, which I often am. It must entertain you to listen, as well, and going further, to write about it.
