I stopped having gout attacks about 7-8 years ago. I think a water pill was causing the issue. I was taken off of it & never had another one. Hope the pain fades. Keep the foot still if at all possible as I'm sure you know any slight movement is painful.

I have some leftover drugs from the last attack I take if I notice something may be coming up. Sometimes it works (or a placebo effect works) and sometimes not.
