Hub's arrogance once again shines through. He thinks because guys like him who don't like Tiger say it enough times; the rest of the world will eventually fall into their line of thinking.

Sorry Hub. Been a fan of his since he first started playing; and although I find his actions deplorable, he's still the greatest active golfer hands down. To say people won't tune in is moronic.

The Masters is a TV draw. It isn't on the level of the World Series or the Superbowl; but casual golf fans will watch the Masters. There are those who don't watch unless Tiger is playing. THEY will tune in. And those who want to see how he performs after all of this will tune in occasionaly to see how he's doing.

Hub's been a moron for years. This is just another prime example of it.

I havent created a mult since Bigfan's decree a few months back.

A Joaquin mult could be good though.

It seems like a few of the callers are as bad as meatball hockey callers. I can't remember the guy's name, but the call was around 11:30, and started along the lines of "Hub, you're wrong. Everybody will want to watch the Masters. Especially with Tiger back. Oh, and by the way, I'm a golf fan"

It's as bad as the people 3 weeks ago suggesting that because of the gold medal game, EVERYONE will start watching hockey.

I'm calling B.S.

I'm a Golf fan. I play the sport & watch it on TV.
I don't like Tiger. Haven't since day one.
I will watch the Masters with or without Tiger.
I don't care if he plays or not.

What did he do on day one to make you dislike him?

Let me rephrase it....not that he's too black (because he barely embraces that part), but let's just say John Kirk doesn't like him because he's "different"...how about that?

So Hub claims that while Tiger's knee made the needle drop by almost 50% but his cock won't make it move at all?
That's one magic knee.

http://blog.nielsen.com/nielsenwire/onl ... ings-roar/

I'm now filled with the uncontrollable desire to know how Mel Kiper Jr. and John Clayton feel about the masters ratings.

The best part of it is he said twice, "We'll see" and the funny thing is that we will, in fact, see.

The ratings will be through the roof.

Does anyone remember when Ditka had a weekly evening show on the Score in the '90's. Did Hub host that show? I used to call in and needle Ditka.

I don't watch much golf so maybe one of you guys can answer this: when did jagoffs start yelling "GET IN THE HOLE!!!" the nanosecond the club touches the ball on a putt or "YEEAAAHHHH!!!!" when someone tees off?

Are these the same guys who sit behind home plate and are on the phone waving to the camera the whole fucking game?

It's been growing for about 10 years or so with the more "rowdy" crowds at PGA events.

And yes, they'll probably be the same cocksuckers who drop 350 on a premium baseball seat to stay on their cell phones to impress their friends; which probably number less than 5.

I can definitely confirm that. I've heard a guy yelling "GET IN THE HOLE" to the pitcher right after he released every pitch... didn't know what the hell he was talking about. Now I know, thanks.

YOU DA MAN!! started in the mid-90s I believe. I know it had reached widespread popularity by the time that Tiger won the Masters in 1996.

Steve Rosenbloom knows that too. In his little blurb in the upper-left corner of the sports page each day, he'd have a picture of someone with a clever saying. The day after The Masters, he had a picture of Tiger with the caption "You da Master".

He apologized soon after.

Did the film Happy Gilmore have anything to do with the "Get in the Hole" popularity?
