After being apart most of this week, I think I just heard that there will be random fill ins for next week's show as well making it so Sean and Steve aren't doing any shows together. I wonder if this is a sign that this disasterous pairing has seen its final days together. Thoughts?

Seriously? Anyone got any information on this?

I hate to say it, but I've had a few listens with JD filling in. My feeling about the show has gone from "loathe" to "listenable."

JD seems to keep Cakes on task and doesn't feed Cakes' need for egotistical stroking. And the reduction in yelling has been quite refreshing.

I think its funny they have to make 500 accomodations for this show to work...separating the two guys, Sean in 3 different countries, 17 different states doing the shows, home phones ringing.

Yet all that chaos somehow is supposed to be better than just saying, you know what put Silvy and Carmen back in their nine to noon slot when in their last book blew the Score out of the water.

I agree. The show is vastly improved when JD is a part of it. I used to think of JD as just a post-collegiate frat boy dope who had good verbal skills, but little to say. He seems to have a real passion for his work, though, and has turned into an excellent Bears reporter and an above average host. I like his up-side quite a bit.

Agreed. He plays well in space and maintains proper leverage and pad level.

Not to mention the fact that he possesses great instincts and is a real studio rat.

He also has great length and a nice burst.

I like JD, but it should be a sign to the Powers that the S & R pairing isn't working if the "Bruce Levine of Football" can make their show 10 x better.

Yes, but how many bench press reps can he do?

I've got three solid subjects to discuss:

1:
Silvy is supposed to fill in for Rosenbloom a couple of days this week

2 and 3:
