As a rule, unless someone is watching a game from a location within 15 miles of the participating schools, a #1 vs. #16 game should never be the national game.

A whole bunch of northshore jews went to Kansas. Jews run television. Steak dinner boom Chicago is now considered a home market for KU ncaa games. Only explanation I can think of.

Keep in mind there are no Illinois schools in the round of 65 this year in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. Since CBS Sports took over the coverage many years ago, just because #16 Lehigh/#1 Kansas in Oklahoma City was listed as the featured game here in Chicago late last night doesn't mean you'll see it in its entirety. Watching the games as I did, and in HD to boot, Lehigh gave Kansas all they could handle before the Jayhawks pulled away at the end. There were 2 games within seconds of each other, #11 San Diego State/#6 Tennessee in Providence and #8 Wake Forest/#9 Texas in New Orleans, that went down to the wire and the latter of which went to OT. CBS tries very hard to get viewers to wherever the action is and the conclusion of every single tournament game. Westwood One does the same thing on its national radio broadcasts, and ESPN2 will do so tomorrow when the Women's Tournament tips off.
