I caddied there from 2001 till 2005. I know every nook and cranny of that place. They have GPS on the carts so you'll be fine even without a stud pro jock like me, hahaha.

It's a good course, but many think over-priced because of the area it's in. It's always in good condition, some really good holes (1, 4, 7, 11, 18) and some boring/weird ones (6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 15) It could get tough if you spray it with the high grass, but you'll probably shoot 80. Amazing that it used to be an airfield, Fazio moved a lot of dirt.

Actually we are taking caddies so I could have used you. :( Thanks for the rundown, I was
going to review the holes online next week sometime. My hope is to break 80 but realize that
is probably asking a lot for out there. I'll have to give you my thoughts on the course next week.
I am just happy I am not footing the bill, the greens fees appear to be about $170.

$35 a bag plus tip for the caddies on top of the greens fee. They have a good yardage book available online where you can see what's going on but only a couple of holes are blind. With the way you hit the ball you'd be safe to play the blues or the tips if you had some other good players with you. I haven't played it since 05 but I think I've played it over 35 times, great course if you don't have to pay to play.

Can't they be said about any course? (Speaking of which, time to call my friend at Schaumburg to get my comp rounds)

I have a couple of courses you couldn't pay me to play because of layout, course conditions and staff attitude and philsophy.

Hey buryman..

Anything on the Forest Preserve courses for Labor Day? We're looking to book at least one 4some, and possibly 2, fairly soon as I assume it will likely be a busy day on most courses. If there's anything you know of, please let me know so we can give GolfNow the business.

We're trying Deer Creek this weekend, I'll let everybody know how that course is.

The forest preserve courses won't let us book tee times on holidays or weekends before 1pm. They believe they can fill those times without our help, don't ask. Still have some other times at Meadows, The Sanctuary, Fresh Meadow? Water's Edge morning time is filled but aftrernoon (1:51) is still open.

It's not time to golf yet but the Chicago Golf Show is this weekend at the Donald E. Stephens convention center in Rosemont, IL. I have some exhibitor badges I can give to attendees to get in and when they come in they can give them back to me to use for other VIP guests we have arriving.

The show is only $5 on Friday and $8 w/ internet coupon on their website, but if you plan on buying a $250 club, free entrance is free entrance.

If you want to take advantage get in touch with me at dbury@golfnow.com or call me if you have my number. Service is bad in the Donald and I might be busy but you never know.

Have a good show. I just got my 3 wood reshafted so I think I am good to go
heading into the season. Do I have to set up a profile to use GolfNow? Never
used it before but will likely play some different places this year so I would like
to be able to utilize it.

Yes, signing up on the site would make things easier for your first reservation. I also can set everything up for you duriung your first reservation if you want. If you've ever bought anything online you can figure it out.

I can't wait to use golfnow. I hope I get to before the end of March. February sucks.
