I do kind of agree. A lot of sport related comments are now taken to Facebook and Twitter rather than to here.

The amount of actual sport talk on CSFMB has died down lately and the "other" sections are certainly taking over.

I blame Obama's health care plan.

I have a lot of people here friended on FB and don't see many sports related posts and certainly not any discussions. Maybe the hosts have some running conversations on their posts on FB, but I prefer arguing with the meatballs I know instead of the ones I don't.

The Blackhawks Section is setting new records. I think we are getting like 20 page views a day in there now

No, he's right. Message boards are a dying medium. It's a shame, too, as I think it's a far more versatile modality of communication than Facebook or Twitter. You can go short, you can go long, you can speak in jpegs, you can practically write essays, you can be yourself, you can play a character. It's a shame, but the Internet evolves. Remember Usenet? Chat rooms?
