Even though I have a facebook, I usually don't post anything. I never feel I have anything worth saying [insert joke here]. I just keep up with some of the people here, relatives and some people I knew back in the day.

I am guessing that Facebook might not allow/provide the vitriolic love that exists here.

I have to say, even Laurence has improved as a co host. I think his solo show is college like and boring, but as a co host, he is OK these days.

this'll be my 19th year being online. i've seen enough to know i've seen too much.

Ah. The old Prodigy/Genie/Compuserve days....2400 baud modems and all.

that was my first modem. a friend of mine had just bought a faster one, and eventually upgraded to 14.4 so he gave me his old 2400. he gave me Q-Modem, and that was pretty much my BBS dialer until i got telemate a few years later. those were the days. i never had prodigy or anything, but i still have an old AOL 2.5 disk laying around somewhere.

He's either a phony or a guy who isn't exactly sure what he wants to be. One minute he's stuffing his face with sushi and Allen Bros. beef, smoking cigarettes like Bogart in Casablanca, snorting coke off the dashboard of his Lexus, and cranking Alice Cooper to eleven and the next he's watching his kid's backswing like a proud papa at a Myrtle Beach golf course, eating sensibly, taking chantix, and easing into middle age. He's full of shit is what he is.

My biggest problem with the guy- and I've been listening since he first went on the air- is that he'll use anything for a laugh. It's okay to make fun of a guy missing his legs, to mock the homeless, to use any misfortune for a cheap joke. Anything, that is, except autism or mental illness. Those are serious topics because they hit close to home. Anything else? Fair game. That's bullshit.

Oh man. AOL...destined to fail as the internet opened up and the tech prices dropped.

Those disks/Discs would pile up even after you signed up for the service. AOL was a necessity until you found out that you could simply download AOL I.M. for free and be done with it.

Cite the case, JORR. I have no memories of mocking the homeless. To the contrary, I give money to them when asked. Invariably. Jurko and I used to feed "Sandwich Lady" every weeknight at 6:15. Santo? That's somebody else (if the punchline is about his prosthetics). I mock Santo's broadcasts, but not his diabetic neuropathy. Okay, Mac, first I want to say that I respect the fact that you addressed me directly. There's a whole bunch of guys who wouldn't have the balls to do so. I've been listening to you for a long time, so obviously you're doing something right when it comes to me, even though I often listen in the same way that charcter from Talk Radio listened to Eric Bogosian. "That MacNeil makes me SO ANGRY!"

I can't pinpoint any incidents, but you've often meanly reveled in the misfortunes of others. I don't hold that against you, but you shouldn't pick and choose which subjects can't be mocked. Anyway, I'll point it out when you do it.

And I have to admit, I don't hate you quite as much as I did just because of the polite way you approached me. You can still shove your bullshit idea that football is better than baseball up your ass along with the whole Purdue football program though.
