Where do we begin? I've heard Mac talk about Alice Cooper, the (not so) Fabulous Thunderbirds and George Thorogood all in the last year.

The Hammond Star Plaza or whatever it goes by nowadays has a boatload of has-beens and never gonna be's flow through there.

I saw Yngwie open for Saxon back in the early mid 80s. Great show!

....and Eddie Money with Enuff Znuff opening for him a dozen years ago.

and I'm sure the Venue at the Horseshoe Casino will have plenty of older mainstream has beens giggin' there.

It appears the Chippendales, Huey Lewis and one of the favorite bands for all you 25-30 years old will be giggin there for three nights: New Kids on the Block

I saw Diamond Dave open for Bad Company about 12 years ago, and it was awful. He came complete with his own VH cover band.

I don't have to stay in Indiana to see bands that interest me (although I've seen some damn good ones... like The Police before they became corporate sellouts). Automobiles have been my mode of transportation to the Big City so many of you are so proud of. And I've been going to see important bands since many of you were still shittin' green.

Caught "REO" at Ribfest a few years back and I have to say it was a really good show. Saw Eddie Money last year at the Taste of Joliet and he was pretty good as well. Hasn't missed a meal in a long time but for fest shows it was ok.

Nothing will ever top seeing Eddie Vedder on the 10th Tee box at Big Run golf course in Romeoville doing an hour set with a PJ tribute band .
