When you pitch a shutout, even a sucky lineup is going to win.

The Royals are still in the league, so the Indians are only the second worst :D

I expect the Indians to be at least 5 games worse than the Royals.

You say "consumed by hatred" like it is a bad thing. The world has been built on being consumed by hatred.

How dare you call out Bob on yet another of his moronic posts? You are nothing but a FANBOY!!! Head on back to HOOTERVILLE to hang out with Reinsdorf. You two can try to make some more money while plotting to decimate the farm system and trot out the worst defensive lineup in history.

Not all of us operate that way dick. In my rosy Southside Sox world, the Cub only exist 6 games a year. And you will learn that Bob rips on the Sox almost as much as he rips on the baby bears.

Welcome to the board JORR

Personally, I have never met a Sox Fan that "hates the Cubs more then they like the Sox".

Zambrano had a bad start. It is funny. My friends that cheer for the Cubs were laughing about it. He will most likely correct it as he is a pretty good pitcher. Relax.

Well, Carmona is not doing very well even though he's only given up the one hit. Small plate for both teams. This game won't be over until 11.

Ugh. I have to get up excruciatingly early tomorrow. I'm kinda surprised Peavy came out for the 5th. He's thrown a ton of pitches.

Looks like you figured out why he got taken out. I'm not feeling very confident in Randy Williams in his 2nd inning of work. I hope I'm wrong.

Well in the last two games we have seen what this team is capable of doing this year.

Has Tony Pena ever not let in an inherited runner?

Oh, and THIS is what I expect Ozzieball to look like offensively. They were still waiting around for a 2 run bomb at the end to save them. Also, even in his worst years, Andrew Jones is better than Kotsay. Play him.

These late season pickups that KW intends to bolster the bench always seem to end up as starters on Ozzie teams.

To be fair that wasn't actually a bad pitch that got hit yesterday, but you're right Pena has been terrible during his Sox tenure.

But that's Pena right there in a nutshell. He always looks good. He just isn't.

For the first time this young season, someone other than Mark Kotsay designated hits for the Chicago White Sox tonight when they face the Cleveland Indians. Here's the lineup the Sox will send out there vs. Cleveland's Justin Masterson:

1 Juan Pierre DH
15 Gordon Beckham 2B
20 Carlos Quentin RF
14 Paul Konerko 1B
25 Andruw Jones CF
12 Anthony John Pierzynski C
51 Alex Rios LF
23 Mark Teahen 3B
10 Alexei Ramirez SS

Interesting that Rios would go to left. I'm not sure San Quentin is a better RF but I'm guessing that they don't want to jerk him around too much.

Apologist, remember the name John Dewan? John used to be a fixture on Mike Murphy's old show on The SCORE, and the other night, the veteran baseball stat man was a guest on Laurence Holmes' show. John has two new Web sites, baseballinfosolutions.com and statoftheweek.com, and he'll tell you that Carlos Quentin is better than Jermaine Dye long term now in right field, despite all the homers & occasional defensive gems Dye provided on the South side.

Thanks for that SHARK, I'm pretty sure I'm a better right feilder than Dye has been of late.

My point was that apparently Ozzie believes that with 2 natural rightfielders in there, Rios in left and Quentin in right is better than an outfield of Quentin in left and Rios in right. Or as I implied in my statement, that Rios' ego would be less likely to be affected by playing left.

I'm all for Pierre not playing the outfield but it makes no sense to play your best outfielder in the least important position. If Jones can't play left, tough shit. Learn.
