Wow, there's going to be some scary bad baseball being played on both sides of town this year.

Many of the Sox fans around here were on board with going to Ozzieball. It will be interesting to see if they stay on board as the season goes on.

3 games is way too early to make serious judgements but this team has only 1 guy hitting over .250 right now.
A deal MUST be done for some heavy hitting. Again, stellar pitching for the most part, but a mediocre bullpen (minus the very back end) and light hitting?? It's not a combination for winning baseball in 2010.

And what the hell is up with Pierre DH'ing? Did Ozzie have a stroke before the game? Lotta good it did to sac him to 2nd both times that I saw...
THis is going to be almost as frustrating as watching the Cubs.

Sox will be fine. Great Pitching. Slightly above average offense. Quentin will have a big year. Beckham too.

Who? Certainly not the ones pining for Matsui, Thome and even days before spring training began, Damon.

I don't know if they will be fine. They may be good but I can see a scenario where they are below 80 wins and the pitchers feel they have to be perfect to win.

I've really liked Rios defense.

If the starting pitching performs like it should, I think theyll score enough runs. In the Cell guys like Rios, Teahan , Beckham can hit around 20 homeruns.

I know not all of you guys were on board with it, but many where. Mr. Belvidere is the first one that comes to mind.

I dont think they'll have a slightly above average offense. I think it will be slightly below average, which basically means it will suck since half their games are at the Cell. But we can definitely expect better from Peavy, we've only played 3 games and off the top of my head have to believe we have one of the, if not the best 4th pitcher in the league in Danks. I think the Sox will be in contention for the division, nothing I've seen so far has changed my mind from before the season.

What is the rationale with Danks being the 4th guy? I think he is a better pitcher than Floyd. I would have Danks 3 and Floyd 4. Not really a big deal, but just something I was curious about.

Matchups to start off? Maybe with Morneau and Mauer, they'd rather 2 lefties against the Twins.

They are pretty much 3 and 3A.

These guys can't be viewed as "young" anymore, in fact the last two seasons they have more combined wins than Buehrle and Peavy.

April will most likely be bad for The Sox and Sox fans. If they still play like this by mid-May or early June, that's when to be really worried. If they are still losing to the likes of the Indians at that time, this offseason was just a big waste of time and KW should be put on notice.
However, these last two games have been eerily like 2009.
