Am I in the minority or are there other White Sox fans that hate the black jerseys that the team wears as much as I do ? In my opinion, their home white and the road gray are the best uniforms in baseball. Four out of five times so far this year. I hate it when any team wears their colored tops. Home white and road gray, period.

They need to mix in the blue and red 80's uni's.

Less than a week into the season, your team has a lot of potential subjects to discuss and yet you want to complain about the uniforms?

I'm certainly more of a Cubs fan, but I do follow the Sox. That being said, I absolutely love the Balck Jerseys.

If they win, I couldn't care less what they wear.

Agreed on both comments.

I like the black jerseys, and I wouldn't be shocked if Mark Buehrle and his teammates wear it today, despite the first 2 losses to the Twins. Where's Laurence Holmes' creepy Twins' music when I need it?

There are a few White Sox jerseys I'd love to see them wear. I wasn't born in 1959, but I've seen old MLB Productions film of the Sox in the classic home uniforms with the numbers in the back and left sleeves. They've worn them a couple of times in the last few years, and have won both games I believe vs. the Dodgers in Interleague games... I would also love to see the Sox bring back the sleeveless uniforms, not just at home, but introduce a road version with Chicago scripted across the chest.

A home team should never wear a black jersey. It is simply not right.

I dislike both the Cubs solid blues & the Sox solid blacks. They look like pajama tops.

I like when most teams switch to their solid jerseys. As long as they don't wear em every day I'm fine with it. IMO, Washington's solid red and KC's powder blue alternates are the best things going right now.

I do like the White Soxs (hi Kujoe) black jerseys but I prefer their alternate home pin stripes with the black sleeves.

As long as they have sleeves I am cool with them. The sleeveless with the under armor or t shirt underneath that some teams wear look weird.

There's a simple reason for the White Sox, Blue Jays, Orioles, A's & Mets all sporting occasional black jerseys...It's all about the $$$$.

Those teams all look ok in their black jersey's except the Mets. They need to remove all traces of it and go back to their normal classic uni's.

It's not just limited to Bud Selig's Major League Baseball where teams have alternate jersey tops and usually hand-picked by the starting pitcher. We all know the Bears have that Halloween orange jersey and a number of NFL teams have introduced a third color jersey, and if you watched the Bulls/Raptors' game last night on WCIU 26, U'z saw them sport the black & red jersey...It's added revenue...

Shark, how reliable is your information on this? You may have cracked this case wide open!

I could swear, however, that I read somewhere that all of these teams employed the same fashion consultant from Ryan Braun's t-shirt company.

Why did you hate John Forsythe?

I didn't hate John Forsythe! I didn't have enough information when he passed away!

Anyway, there have been stories in the news regarding third color jerseys. There are three other teams that sport black tops from time to time, the Rockies, Marlins & Diamondbacks. To my knowledge, and this goes back many years, the White Sox at one time when they switched to the current silver & black, they were #1 in MLB in sales until the Rockies came along. Right now, I'd have to do some more research to see who's #1, regardless of whether teams have third jerseys or not.

I noticed the yellow smiley wink at the end of your post. Does this mean that you were being sarcastic about claiming that you didn't hate John "The Otter" Forsythe?

I wouldn't worry about it, Shark. It is not illegal to hate someone.

My memory could be a little froggy on this, but I seem to remember that for some reason Buehrle likes the balck jerseys. Will have to keep an eye out to see if they are always worn on days he pitches.

Buehrle has worn the other jerseys in addition to the black, Apologist. I wouldn't be shocked if the White Sox don themselves in Mark's next start, which I believe is Friday night at (Not So) Progressive Field in Cleveland vs. the Indians.

Why don't the White Sox wear white socks? Just put silver and black stripes on them and they'd look cool.
