I keep mine in the bathroom and read then throughout the week. I go to the comic book store by my office every Wednesday and pick up anywhere from 3-8 comics depending on what comes out that week.

I have them delivered twice a month. Cheaper than the shop for most books and I don't have to leave the office.

Please share the 3-8 different comics you read. Maybe I am missing something? and who delivers them?

I read more than 3-8, but I'm just saying on a week to week basis that's how many I'll grab depending on what comes out that week. Here are some of my current faves off the top of my head...

Walking Dead (zombie comic, AMC is making a tv show based on it)
Sword (by Image)
Fables (fables like Snow White, little boy blue are really alive and live amongst us)
Captain America
Battlefields (WWII comic)
The Stand (the Stephen King novel)
Invincible (independent super hero comic)
Criminal (crime noir)
Scalped (modern day indian reservation)

I don't do the delivery thing, I just pick them up once a week.

I get it delivered from dcbservice.com. You can set up a delivery schedule from once a week to every 6 months. And I save about 35%.

i was really into "fables" when i was last reading comics; that was about 7 years ago though. i thought it was hilarious and awesome.

i liked garth ennis, warren ellis, brian michael bendis, grant morrison...was into the marvel "ultimate" series and the revitalized "hulk". read some of "green arrow" but my god kevin smith is so overrated when it comes to writing comics.

i liked j. michael straczynski too. "Midnight nation" and "rising stars" (first 10 issues at least...then it trailed off) and his "spider-man" efforts were decent.

some of the superhero stuff is kiddie-like. but to say all comics are for kids is just ridiculously ignorant. some of alan moore's stuff is more vital and brilliant than half the modern novelists out there today.

There's still a lot of good stuff out there. I enjoy many of the same writers you do. "Fables" is less hilarious but still good. "Criminal" is great if you like crime/noir genres.

I just recently cot caught up on "Fables" thru trades, and I really enjoy it. I also enjoy "Daytripper" and "Joe the Barbarian". "American Vampire", an original comic from Stephen King, just started and issue 1 was good.

Lance Briggs becomes THE DARKNESS!!!

His 'super powers' include: Crashing his Lamborghini into unsuspecting female victims vehicles, then knocking them up ...and ultimately running for the sidelines behind his attorneys.

+1000 on Kevin Smith. He fucking sucks. Everything he has done since Clerks has been awful. His efforts in comics are horrible, way too wordy.

I liked the Ultimate stuff too, but they fucked it all up recently and decided to boot the entire universe and start over. Pretty questionable decision considering Ulitmate Spidey was Marvel's #1 selling comic at the time. Also they decided to let Jeph Loeb handle most of the reboot and he is without a doubt the worst writer in comics.

loeb is like the david koepp of comic book writing. he's not very talented, he has zero creativity...and yet he still finds work.

Loeb's greatest achievement is taking over the widely successful Ultimates series (written by Mark Millar) after 2 volumes and ruining it so thorougly that it not only was the worst comic of the year, but it retroactively took away from the greatness of the previous volumes. That's pretty hard to do.
